Accessing OTA Timing Results Online

OTA time attack results will be now be available online. The big screen and wifi access will no longer be available.

This means you will be able to access results from anywhere at the track. Updated results will be posted regularly, typically shortly after each run group (checkered flag). You will need an internet enabled smartphone or tablet.

The short URL to the site is ota(dot)atu(dot)ca

You can bookmark this link, or the long link once you reach the site.

During an event you will see a web page with links to regularly updated results. This will start shortly after the first practice session begins (9a). And will stop prior to the last run group (~3p). This is so the final results remain a surprise for the drivers meeting.

Outside of these hours a basic page will be displayed about the next event and some useful time attack links.

Thanks Gary

Very cool! (What does "atu" stand for? Might help me remember the url)

Would it be possible to also have a single page with FTD time?

Matt Clough and Perry Rautanen are the authors of this feature and it will be best to speak with then about upgrades. I am only the messenger.

"atu" is just a UTL shortener site and "atu" seemed like a good fit.

Think of ota in reverse with the "o" swapped for a "u".

The best page to bookmark is the landing page when you go to ota . atu . ca

You can bookmark other pages like your class, but they may change from event to event. (Don't bookmark any of the "test drive" pages as they will be gone on Sat.)

Note that the main landing page will have 2 formats, one during practice/competition hours and another for outside event hours.

During an event you will see a site like the "test drive" web pages (follow the "test drive" link on the landing page).

Outside event hours you will see a web page like the landing page you see now.

We'll look into adding other pages like FTD. Depends when/how they get generated on the timing system.

Excellent, guys, thanks! If you think you might have use for it, I bought a 4G signal booster that you can use.

Apologies for not having times up on the web site for most of the day at TMP.

In the WIL at event #1 category ... cell network speed and capacity are not the same thing. And testing still misses things like this.

For event #2 we'll make some changes that should allow the uploads to take place at whatever network speed is available without impacting the timing PC activities.

The preliminary results for Event #1 have been re-posted at ota.atu.ca after the first round of "fixes"
I know there are still some car number errors and I have to double-check classing and PI numbers but the lap times should be correct.
If anybody spots some errors please either send me a PM here on the forum or a quick message to ontariotimeattack (at) gmail (dot) com and we'll get things fixed up.
Thanks everybody for your patience!
