Here are a few photos I took today at CTMP. If you didn't see or hear the 'Masters Historic F1' cars, you missed some great vintage sounds :) The F1 cars are at CTMP Friday and Saturday :)

A side note...the # 22 Lotus is the actual car that was used and driven by James Garner in 'Grand Prix', according to the owner. The car was rebodied for the movie and larger tires put on. However, the small engine, all 120HP, was not sufficient to spin the tires at the race start, so they poured oil on the tires to make them spin and smoke :) That's what he told me :)

Friday started out foggy and damp, then dried out, warmed up and got really hot! :) My friend told me he heard that one of the Lotus F1 cars turned 1:15:77, not bad, eh :)
Here are a few photos from Day 2...

Watching live beats television every day...much better sounds and smells and you can talk to the drivers at VARAC :) Oh, and you can watch LeMans later when you get home, it's on all night :) These cars may not be back here again :)

Saturday, Day 3, the final day the Masters Historic F1 cars. Here are a few photos from the pit straight. They were LOUD :p ...and when they went by the outside wall, the wind moved me, in more ways than one ;)

I wonder if the Lotus team asked the guy in the white shirt for driving tips :)

We were there. Just a fantastic day.The # 12 Lotus was on rails and proved to be the best but, the Ferrari was the Belle of the Ball. It was so nice to see that race car.
