Which tyres?

So here's the deal... I have some 14x6 rims with 195/60R14 Pirelli P3000 (http://www.1010tires.com/images/tires/pirelli-p3000-large.jpg)s mounted on them. I also have 13x4.5 rims with BFG Winter Slalom (http://www.1010tires.com/images/tires/bfgoodrich-winter-slalom-large.jpg)s (aka Nordic Wintertracs).

Which would be better for the Bancroft pit? I was thinking the extra width and stiffer sidewalls of the Pirellis might compensate for the less-agressive tread pattern but I don't know what the surface is like. Any input?

I'm still looking if I can get my hands on some 185/70 M+S truck tyres but I'm not holding my breath...

I would put my money on the BFG's by far and away the better choice out of the two, you will be dealing with sand and gravel.
