1) 7 hours to get there plus 7 hours to get back = 14 hours... with 150 seconds of seat time in a tail happy golf.... hmmmmm ouch....
2) very interesting course design.. third gear in the golf was seen a few times....
3) bump starting a golf takes work and having to do that for each run is a real workout
4) I can drive the super tail happy golf without swapping ends
5) second run: 4 cones
6) third and final run: 6 cones anyone else see my desire to make marshalls run?
7) run times sound quicker in French then in english even though the announcer said the same thing...
8) GRIP.... we should pitition the government to force all parking lots to be made out of that surface..
9) 14 different tires and we only used one combination...
10) what happens in the van stays in the van

no but the opinions on many other drivers I spoke with there said the course that was set up was typical of sanair.

11) It can be ALOT colder in Montreal than in Toronto.
12) It can take a looong time for asbestos to burn in a bonfire. lol Guy!
13) Jason can drive the super tail happy golf without swapping ends  though the cones did not fair so well :D
14) Kumho 710's are sticky.
15) Wheel & Tire Zone car finished first in class even with a cone and set fastest time of the day.
16) Diesels can idle for hours without burning noticeable amounts of fuel.
17) Its great having fresh BBQ at the event served by Quebec women ;)
18) Free starter motors may not last more then 3 weeks. :(
19) Carl is a funny guy, hope he does well at Topeka.
20) I have been told when I sneeze it can be heard from the other side of the track.
21) Mike's got a wild side to him, though he asures me he had no clue about the raised vibrating bed with mirros! :p

I had a blast, it was way worth it. Too bad finishing 1st inclass for 33% of their regional events is still not good enough to qualify for their shootout.

I want to give a HUGE thanks to Andrew from Wheel & Tire Zone, who gave me his Khumo 710's and Wheels to use for this awesome event at Sanair.

Great tires, I will have to buy a set ASAP!

Andrew is amazing at how he came through for our trip out there... I for one will always do business with them. :p

Andrew didn't you predict I'd swap ends 3 times in a run? :p

one of my favourite line from the bonfire... "we put it in at the start and look" Guy hold up a sheet of abestos "it's still cold"

travel from Toronto to Montreal and you can still get more sleep then some of the Quebec guys that stayed there.... :p

so it was the starter motor again?

yes, starter failed again.

it was a used one, and i know why it failed.. :( (for other reasons)

Almost forgot!
22) Mike needs to always bring Ashley with him, so that there is someone to remind him to take off that SPDA logo off of his rear license plate. Even if we were already in Kingston hehe! :D

23) When cones are called in they should only be called in by the station that is actually fixing them. Having more then one station calling in for the same cone results in multiple penalties for the same cone. ( rookies :( )

24) For the Nationals in Topeka each cone is given a number and that downed cone's number has to be written onto a page for each competitors run. Therefore each station has minimum of 3 people 2 runners and 1 pencil pusher, interesting.

J.C. thats how the nationals in 2003 were done every cone with a number and cone numbers were recorded the radios were used for number of cones down in the following method:

"Station number <insert station number> car number <insert car number> <number of cones> cones hit"

sheets were used to record the cone number hit and that was later added to the information large maps were available to see which cone a person hit. it was done to Topeka like standards. unlike this year's national event

Having numbers on each cone is time consuming but it does help with mistakes. Learn a new thing every day :)
