A nice big field and a great day for motor car racing.
I think the only improvements would have been cutting out the red flag incidents on Saturday and a little less on oil and cement dust on the track.
That was the best supper at the track I've had. thanks BEMC for a great 50th anniversary Indian Summer Races.

If you're referring to GT as in GTA-B-C-D, then thanks!!! :D I had a great time out there.
Thanks for all the hard work you guys always put out! Between dusting the entire track to clean up the oil, and helping out drivers who unfortunately ended up in the tire barriers, you guys were awesome.

Hey Pat, thanks - it was fun! That was my first time ever on Mosport, and I now have a new favourite track.
Worst moment, following the #153 TR-7 out of 5b on the first lap of qualifying, he was 30 feet in front and then he disappeared into the dust - and so did the track. That was scary. The rest was awesome, and the big field sure made it interesting.

yeah, that dust cloud was way worse than any rain race I've been in. Still, I don't think it could have been handled much better to be honest.
For the future, would it be possible to have someone in the back of a pick-up drag a broom over the trail, or something along those lines, just so the cloud isn't so thick.... Maybe think about running the extra five minutes at the beginning, under FCY...? Just a few thoughts.

Believe me, the broom was on the back of the pick up and over that cement dust a few times before we let you guys back out...there was just soooo much oil!
And yes, I am referring to the GTA-B-C-D, especially you and the 4 car in the last race - you should have heard the cheering and wowing over the land line during that race.

haha... thanks. Tor and I had a great time... That was one of the hardest battles I've ever had, especially when Joel was right behind me (or ahead of me, at times).
Yeah, I should have guessed there was more done than just dropping the dust and hand-brooming it....

It was suggested by someone in the tower that we do a full course yellow for the start of that session. I decided against it. I wanted to give everyone the chance to drive at the speed they felt comfortable. I didn't want someone with a fast car stuck behind a slow car and unable to pass because of a yellow flag. (Been there myself and hated it.)
I added the 5 minutes to the session, to give a bit more time to dissipate the cement and not penalize you guys for something that was not of your making.

Not all the action was at the front guys...
There was a great battle happening right behind the leaders: between the #32 Pick-up, #77 Corvette, and the #89 Camaro.
This freight train battled both days, especially on Sunday afternoon when the track was at its' best.
In traffic, all three racers bunched-up and changed positions several times, pushing both man and machine to the limit.
It was American Iron at its' best, and we definately had a blast!!!
Special thanks goes out to the track crews who worked so "hard", so we could race "hard" !!!
:D :D

true... all it takes is one car cruising slowly, and there could have been a line of 40 cars (and then hardly any of the dust would have been cleared from the track surface). :)
perhaps I'll just stick to driving! :D

Part of the problem with cement and a lot of oil is that if we donot put enough down the oil goes on top of the cement, which is worst.
The difference of us or vehicles running over the cement is we cannot replicate the speed and adhesion a racing tire will do to the dust.
In some series they actually use a blower to dissipate the extra dust. Bottom line.... don't put oil on the track anymore ;)
I got to spectate a bit on Sunday and wow that was so cool. Now I cannot wait to WORK next weekend.
