Well...its official...I can't get insurance through any normal company for my Camaro.

I have just been denied by my normal Carrier, State Farm, and three others. They will not touch a car with a turbo, is what they all tell me.

Time to try for either Silver wheel, or wait for williams little insurance thing to come to fruition.

Ask them for a quote for the SRT 4 and when they give it to you.....ask them why they gave you a quote. %$%$#@ Bastards.

I have just been denied by my normal Carrier, State Farm

I have heard this name way too much lately with the words denied, nonrenewal, cancelled.

I would recommend that ANYONE that uses state farm, find a new company, quickly!!!!

go with the silver wheels plan. I had it on my last jag for years!! Great people at Lant ins. VERY cheap, if it is not a daily driver that is the way to go!!! you will need a appraisal!

I even had a $5K claim on it and my premiums didn't go up. In fact the next few years they went DOWN, because they have a no claims-you get a 5% discount per year discount- max to either 10 or 15% off.

It's best for Hot rods and collector cars. they need to be 15 years or older and then when they hit 25 yo the rates dropped again,. No drivers under 25 years of age.

I was paying $79 per year for $7500 valued car. over 25 yo. When it was less than 25 it was $ 120..

have fun

Steve

I don't even think my insurance company realizes my Jetta comes with a turbo. I hope another insurance option comes up soon because I fear I too will be dropped.

I have to get my car appraised first...working on that for silver wheels...

Silver Wheels is good - standard policy - 1mil liability and I don't think mine went up this year over last - cost about $430 for the year and the car is appraised at $17.5.

Cost about 150 for the appraisal - if you want I can look for the name of the Co. that did it - they will go to wherever the car is stored.

Silver wheels will not take my car because "its been modified for racing".

Williams insurance solution looks like the only way I can get insurance for under $1000 a month - facility quote because the car has a turbo charger and a roll bar.
