Hi Guys, I am in the process of mounting my battery in a sealed battery box in the trunk and can not decide whether to run the cables in the car or underneath the car.
I have seen articles showing both methods:
What do you think the pros and cons of each would be?
Your racing knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

I ran mine underneath. The cabling is quite thick and heavy.

My thouhts on the Q
Inside:
-Protected from damage due to road debis (and off track adventures)
-Bit of a pain the ass to run cleanly through the interior, particuarily if you still have your full interior
-Getting the cables through the firewall to the orignal battery connections (you need to protect the wires from damage by using rubber gromments or utilise a OE wire pass-through.
Under the car:
-Could be damaged by road debris
-You need jack stands and or a lift to install the cables
-Finding good places to attach the wires to the cars undercaridge, without putting bolts/screws though into the interior might be an adventure
-Finding a clean way to get the wires through the trunk sheetmetal to the underside of the car (Using grommets to protect the wire )
IMHO going through the inside of the car is the least evil alternative, BUT this will be determined by how easy it is to run cables inside YOUR car ....
Cheers

Thanks Guys, think I am going to try and go inside the car, on the passenger side, use Bulkhead cable connectors through the bulk head, along the driveshaft hump to the back.
Then under the back seat and through one of the many holes that are allready behind the seat to the trunk.
No holes at all will have to be drilled except the Bulkhead in front
Not sure if I going to put a cutoff switch.

I put mine in the back of the Stang and ran the cables inside, up the left hand side of the car. There's a plastic channel you can run it along, and just put one hole in the firewall with a grommet and she's ready to crank.
Took about an hour from front to back.
Best of luck.
