The best place is likely going to be Bimmerforums.com or MaxBimmer.com (in TO). Ask the owners!

Looking for some RWD goodness? :)

Bimmerforums can be an OK source of info.

MaxBimmer is a complete waste of time, unless you want advice from teenagers on how to wax your car, get out of careless driving tickets, and install numerous subwoofers in your "race car".

Your best bet is to visit a shop that deals with the cars, both on the street and on the track. Some advice is free.....but you should be prepared to pay for a detailed pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic you trust.

North of Toronto, try Bavarian Motors.
Northeast, try Markus Glarner.
West End, try Eurotech or TechMax.

Hope that helps....

You might also try Raven Performance. I've dealt with Jordan M. for tires in the past. They seem like a good bunch.

Raven and Bavarian are sister companies- try Bavarian for service and inspection issues, and Raven for the go-fast parts once you've found a good chassis. Raven/Bavarian have a lot of E30 expertise.

They're at the same address in Markham- 7634 Woodbine, Unit 6.

Logan, for east end BMW guys, Markus Glarner is near (or in) Port Perry. Your location says Peterboro so Glarner's your closest bet.

Wes: I've got an issue of Bimmer magazine from a few months ago with a really good buyers guide article on E30's (The entire reason I bought the mag) that I can scan up for you if you want. Good information. Hell I'll mail you the magazine if you want, I've given up the idea of buying one. :)

http://www.bmwe30.net is a good starting point. http://www.bmwe30.net/cgi-bin/datacgi/database.cgi?file=articles&report=view&ID=00012&Section=14 lists common problems. Things to look out for are the typical used car stuff and rust. I have had 2 e30's, both have rust in the sunroof, my first one had rust in the rear shock tower. (which is why I got rid of the car)

will the e30 be the new Solo2 Car?

My dad has always taken his BMWs to TechMax for service (2 previous E30s and his current E36).

Attila really knows his stuff.

Try Eurotech for any info or service for you BMW, VW or Audi.
Talk to Jamie or Frank. Good bunch of guys who know their stuff and are very reasonable.
