Enjoy iceracing in it's natural form-the way it was meant to be....
Of course that means in a rear wheel drive rubber to ice car....
More specifically a race proven not to mention race winning car...
Here's the deal:
I'm offering my Volvo for use at the Minden series to anyone who is willing to put a little sweat equity into it.
Of course, it won't win any concourse events, but get past that
wrinkled exterior and beneath beats the heart of a beast.
You pay your own entry fee, You put fuel in it, I have tires for the next ten seasons for it, ready to go. Oh yeah, I have a ballast program too.
I'll even make up your number board gratis.
It needs the following things to make it go:
RR brake caliper is seized.
1 motor mount is broken (at this point in it's life, it could be welded solid.)
Something is up with the starter as well, it may just be the solenoid. It does run very well.
The gasket between the exhaust manifold and downtube is gone.
(this is more annoying than serious and I have a new gasket!)
This car is the fastest thing on ice in a straight line, when conditions are right.
It strikes fear in the hearts of men in lesser cars too.
Only one caveat to this whole deal; I'd like to use the car as a backup to my Corolla, if and when necessary.
This car has been a great deal of fun to drive, and it goes very well. I've beaten Larry with it, even on the slippiest of days, and it has won a lot of races run after studs too.
I'm a little overwhelmed with other projects at the moment and I won't be able to prep it for the new season.
The car is in Minden at the moment, I also have the battery, which is all warm and charged up.
