Hello,
I'm going to be coming to Ontario for at least one event this year. However, due to my obligations to Solo 1 here in Quebec, I may only make it to one weekend or even one event. Given that I have never been to any of your tracks, but that I have done about 20 events here plus a school and a dozen lapping sessions, and given that i'm driving a 1988 Honda Michelin Civic (not alot of power), which event should I come to if I can only come to one? Which is the "funnest" track? Thanks all.

They are all fun : ) ... they all have sections that are fun for different people and different cars ... (I drive a 93 Civic Hatch)

Shannonville is the closest to you ...
I personally Prefer Fabi as it is nice and twisty, has some VERY techincal sections. Fabi tends to favour a well balanced car. I also like ProTrack as it has parts of both Nelson and Fabi that I like, but it is really more of a HP course. Nelson is OK, I personally like it the least ... but that is probably as I have not yet figured it out : )

Mosport is about 1.25 hours further East of Shannonville.
Mosport DDT is a blast, it really favours the smaller/Lower powered cars, it is quite tight, and technical (depending on the configuration). I really it like because of the big elevation changes ... something that the other courses do NOT offer.

Cayuga... now called "Toronto Motorsports Park" is about 3.5 Hours further east of Shannonville(1.5 hours south east of Toronto).
Cayuga is quite fun, with a good mix of straightaways and technical twisty bits.

If you can afford the time to travel the extra 1.25 hours to Mosport DDT then It would be my first choice ... just because it is so different than Cayuga or Shannonvile, and it will favour a well setup small car. Plus the elevation changes are loads of fun !!!!!!

Cayuga, Like Shannonville is built on an old airport, thus is similar, in feel. So Shannonville would be my second choice(as it is closer to you).

The link below has the URL's for all three race tracks (as well as others) Have a look and see whick course appeals to you the most.

This link is a up to date list of racing, lapping, and school events ...

I don't feel like I'm moving until I get on the Pro track or the DDT circumference, personally. Fabi is a third for me, even though it seems to make my car understeer (or was that my throttle foot).

Moose summed up the tracks pretty well. If you've got a Civic, I'd probably go for the Mosport DDT track. It's not as big but like Moose said, the elevation changes are really fun as are some of the blind crests and corners.

Is your car an old Honda Michelin series car? That's cool. What's its history?

I think you meant to say Cayuga is further WEST ?

If you want speed go to the Shannonville pro track . The DDT is the slowest track we compete on and in my car I only touch 4 th gear for a few seconds and most corners are second gear . The 1-2 combo on the Pro track is fun and the end of the back straight is a bit intimidating .

Also I would say that Cayuga is more of a power track than the Pro track as there are more 2 nd gear corners to accelerate out of whereas car balance is a bigger issue at the Pro track .

Nelson is also fun but a bit too short . Fabi I find the least interesting as there are a number of 90 degree late apex corners (4 of them ).

I agree with Moose and Caius. If you are doing one event, the Mosport DDT is a blast, especially in the counter clockwise direction. For a lower hp car it is nice because it is turning all the time, with a good mix of slow and fast corners, in various combinations, and with elevation changes. The 4th gear (in a Miata) right hander going over a blind crest is the best single section of any track we do in my opinion.
