I'm hoping to get my '70 Beetle ready so I can attend a couple
Solo1 events.
My plans have changed from building a full blown race car to "Hell, I'll be happy when it's running" :p

Obviously, this will not be a very fast car, but could it be too slow ?
I don't want to be in someone else's way because they catch up too fast.

Thanks,

Rob.

No need to worry about the car being slow. I think you'll do just fine. Going fast on the straights really isn't all that exciting. It's the corners that are fun and there you will be just as fast as any of the other cars. In fact, one good thing going for a slow car is that you are forced to learn to keep its momentum up.

Also, don't forget that you will be competing against other cars that are similar in capabilities to you and you will be spaced out on the track so you don't have to worry about being too slow.

I'd love to see an original Beetle on the track. I think you should have #53 so the car can be like Herby. Yeah, that would be fun.
