I am new to the different Ontario clubs and series for autoslalom so can someone tell me what PITL stands for and where do they normally run their events.
I may run some of the Ontario events next year as sites seem iffy at best here in Montreal.

Ok, so which club runs the events and where do they run. Or is this the regional series that visits the different clubs and counts for the Provincial championship?
Thanks

Nope the regional series info can be found here: www.solo2ontario.com. 2005 calendars should be posted soon.
The PITL series is hosted by MSOC (www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl). It's one of the more popular club series around here. They have a good venue, entry fee includes lunch, and they're organised by a great group of guys, so you can't go wrong there. It's pretty much taken for granted that one of their events will be a regional.

Ok, we're getting there...... can I know where the usually hold their events? or at least the general area?

All their events are at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga (just west of Toronto). Exact directions can be found on their site: http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/pitl-info.html
Herschey Centre in Mississauga.

PITL are clubs events(mazda club i beleive)
they are at the hershey center which is in mississauga(30mins west of Toronto)
the lots is somewhat small, but they alway manage to make interesting courses, and the event have rather high turnouts(100-120 is the norm for a summer event). the pro solo's are always fun and are run on a bigger lot in mississauga
we have a regional series down here that runs one event at diffents clubs home turf(8 events this year, i hear).(PITL hosted one last year). It's where all the top dogs come out to play and can always use another driver of ur level. altho i do feel sorry for anyone in DS if u do decide to drop in :p

We had to kick these guys off last year

solo II is wicked, but the Pro-Slalom format is the shizzy!!

Yeah, they have a real charismatic MC too. Funny guy, great on the mic, entices the crowd, and ridicules the sunday drivers.
Lots of fun.

I might try to fit in a prosolo-had a ton of fun at the one I did.Well except for some guy commenting on the "corolla with almost a muffler" and the "body roll less hachi roku pulls hard outa the pic turn".:D
The only thing was it was HARD on my poor old car,had to swap the clutch and tranny after.:o
BTW would my 1600cc corolla with mods including the supercharger still be in the same class or move up?.

Aftermarket forced induction will automatically put you in C class.
If you are completely stripped and race prepped (as judged by organizers) you will be in D.

What DB said...
but to add some...
any bolt on FI that didn't come stock from the factory on THAT car
would bump you to C for the PRO (c-mod for regular pitl series)
Great schedule! I think I'll have to make it to a prosolo this year with 3 on the schedule.

Thanks Mike for the info.
I surely will join you guys at some events this summer. I will be passing by TO often , on my way to SCCA events, this summer and I will try to combine a weekend..or something.
I really enjoyed mixing it up with you guys at the nationals at Sanair.
Do you think anyone from Ontario is planning to go to Red Deer this summer?

The supercharger is an oem unit from the mr2,the engine is otherwise stock-the rest of the car is not.Basically its stripped, lowered, lightened, stiffened and has the crap driven outa it.
So what do I go up agaisn't?:)

So what do I go up agaisn't?:) D class for you! (You're a C-Mod car in the club series, and the stripped/gutted bumps you up 1 class)
All of the Pro-slalom rules are available on the website:
http://wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/pitl-proslalom.html
I wouldn't expect any major changes to the rules for 2005

I run in D while my co-driver runs in C. You can pretty much expect to run against a couple of super 7's (Rob M. is the reigning champ I beleive) but anything is game in D.
ps. Rob is going down HARD this year:eek:

Gotta run heads agaisn't Rob eh?Lets see my cars heavier, higher, less power and smaller tires-it's gonna suck for Rob to lose to that!;) :D
Oh well its for fun anyway,as long as I can stay ahead of the regional c-mod guys I'll be happy.

The calendar is filling in nicely this year!
Regionals, PITL, WOSCA, MCO, COMP, TLMC...there's only 2 empty weekends between May and September!
And we still haven't heard from HADA yet......

just wanted to add that 2004 registered drivers will have their competition number automatically reserved for 2005 at the open house.
so regardless when you show up during the day.. your number will be saved for you
(keeps the past drivers happy so they don't have to get new magnetic numbers)
AT the FIRST event Saturday May 7th ALL the numbers will be open for grabs
start finishing up your projects.. only 3 weeks away
:)
and the PRO event is around the corner too
I likely won't be able to make to the Open House and I will be in Ireland when the first event takes place. Can I mail my registration form & funds so I can keep my number from last year?
