CASC-OR will have booth space in two upcoming auto shows in the GTA.

Our first show will be the Canadian International Auto Show taking place
February 18-27, 2005 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the SkyDome.

Show hours are 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily (except Sunday February 27 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM).

Current members of CASC-OR affiliated clubs are encouraged to staff the booth and help promote the various disciplines of the sport (and of course their individual club). The booth will need
to be staffed during all open hours. We have a limited number of free passes
available each day in order to admit the people staffing the booth to the show
at no charge.

Daytime hours are anticipated to be the more difficult times to staff, so please try to help us out in that regard.

To start with, please e-mail me at vicepres@casc.on.ca to volunteer time in the booth. Let me know what day(s) and time(s) you are available, and please provide me both an e-mail address AND a phone number where we may contact you to confirm arrangements.

We are in the process of arranging several competition vehicles for display in
the booth, representative of all the CASC-OR disciplines (except ice racing -
bad timing for that). We will also be sourcing other presentation materials for the booth. More details will be posted here as they are confirmed.

The later of the two shows will be the Performance World Show on March 11-13,
2005 at the International Centre Toronto (Airport Road). Details on the CASC-OR
booth there will be available shortly - watch this space.

Here's an update on CASC's booth in the Canadian International Auto Show.

There will be three cars on display in the Auto Show, representative of the
variety of cars and competition in CASC-OR;
Chris & John Paczynski's 2004 Solo I Champion Honda CRX
Eugene Cartini's F1200 BRD
Brian Gibson's Puresports GT/Touring GT Camaro Z28
We will accomodate up to eight people working at any given time. Workers receive
free admission to the show for that day.

We have split the days up into Day (10:30 AM - 4:30 PM) and Evening (4:00 PM -
10:00 PM) but that's more of a guideline. If you can only work part of a shift,
volunteer anyway!

The goal of this display is to promote awareness of CASC-OR motorsport, and to
allow members to promote their own individual clubs. No special knowledge or
training is needed, just an enthusiasm for CASC motorsports!

We have several days and evenings where we have had no volunteers to date and we
really need your help to make this show appearance worthwhile for us.

Here's the days/shifts we really need help with;
Friday February 18 Day/Evening
Sunday February 20 Day/Evening (I know it's Ice Racing and Daytona 500 but we've got no volunteers this day yet!)
Tuesday February 22 Evening
Wednesday February 23 Evening
Thursday February 24 Evening
Friday February 25 Evening
Saturday February 26 Evening
Sunday February 27 Day (we've got no volunteers yet this day either! - show closes 6:00 PM)
Volunteers for any of the other times will still be gratefully accepted but we
need to ensure full coverage.

Once again, please e-mail me at vicepres@casc.on.ca to volunteer time in the
booth. Let me know what day(s) and time(s) you are available, and please provide
me both an e-mail address AND a phone number where we may contact you to confirm
arrangements.

Thanks for supporting this!

We're getting down to the deadline here, and we still have one shift that isn't covered.

Sunday, Feb 20 from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

I know there's a lot of things going on at the same time (ice racing, solo event, and it's a weekend) but we really need to be able to staff every shift with the number of affiliated members we have.

We've got room for more volunteers for any other shift during the show from Feb 18 - 27, but we really need some people to step forward here to help in this time slot.

Contact vicepres@casc.on.ca if you're able to help out - thanks!
