I have seen many types this year: Blizzak's, Yokohama's, Good year Ultra grip, Nokian Hakkapeliitta

So far they have all had there ups and downs.

I've been waiting to see how one works on the ice,I suspect their too heavy-like my old alltrac(as seen in 98race's post)

I believe that the most popular tire to use are Blizzaks. It seems to be what's on most peoples car, though not on ours. We're running Yokohamas. If it's going to be slushy, its a good idea to have a set of Wal-Mart specials (aka. crappy winter tires with a blocky tread). This is just a rough idea though, since this is only our second year, and I think it must take a lifetime of experience to get the tire game right for ice racing. What works in the morning could be dog slow by the afternoon, and I can never explain why. :mad:

well picked up a sweet deal on Yokohamas today.

Can't make this weekend but should be up next weekend.
