I just clued in about the correction factor for turbo/supercharged cars in mod class.Looks like when I apply the 1.4 factor to my 1600cc I'm over the 2 ltr cut off for c-mod.
So d-mod it is,assuming I'm reading the rules correctly. That kinda sucks since the class is limited in #'s and my engine will make less(alot less actually) than say Pat Yorkes.

So Bill, are you gonna add the supercharger and run d-mod with me?Please say yes!!;)

Count on another for D-Mod this year. I'm going try my luck at it with my Cobra. It'll be a weather permitting deal and going to the events around the GTA plus WOSCA.

Had a blast at TLMC and a couple of COMP events last year! I'm trying to talk another one or two snakes into the regional series as well.

Go easy on the old fella will ya !

I love watching those cobra's!!

They make very lovely car noises!:D

You're not worried about 1600cc of toyota are ya?;)

I hope a full class will be at events I attend, not sure how tough trying to beat pax will be-not easy I'm sure.

I believe there's a TLMC member with a Gold Fiero that will be in DMod that is planning to attend a few regionals this year too...

So Daves gonna try a few regionals eh?,he'll do well for sure but might not like some of the tighter courses we get stuck on after running tlmc courses.
Daves always quick so I'll need to be on my toes,he's got good power but I'll be WAY lighter than ever so.......:D

Toyota? Worried? Me?

A healthy concern would be the phrase that comes to mind.

Dave kicked my a** last year. But i'm ready to fight back in '05!! No excuses this year (convinced yet? )

Just hoping to for some good racing, good stories, and oh yeah, minimal breakage of parts...;)

Yellowhotshoe, just in case you were at tlmc events I attended(I think you were, along with at least 1 blue cobra) I have the copper corolla gts.It might have been in drift mode so it wasn't much of a threat for quick times,my wife drove it at the tlmc regional and did well enough in grip mode.
Out of curiousity what does one of the cobra's weigh?,I'm hoping to get down to around 1800lbs with about 160ish hp to push it.

AHH, now I remember! Great show!

The Factory Five's go around 2200lb (without my sorry A**). I run a 302 with about 365hp at the flywheel. I'm hoping to hit a chassis dyno in the spring so the truth will come out:eek:

I've done some suspension work this winter and put a 3-link with coil-overs in the rear. I'm waiting for front and rear sway bars to arrive. I'm hoping to stop the car from rolling like a beached whale. Steve (the blue Cobra) kinda pushed me into it. He ran the same sort of setup on street tires (I had a 4-link with R's) and we ran within a 10th or two all year. Now he bought R's, soooo, I can't get left behind:D

Looks like we might have another for D-Mod (a Neon) according to one of the other threads.

You're gonna get ideas from Steve? Were you there for his little off road excursion in Barrie? All kidding aside, both of your cars are beautiful and I"m looking forward to seeing them more this year.

D-mod over here!:D Against a FFR eh? Should be fun: it's one of my ultimate dream cars..... How was the insurance and registration issue?
AND against 'the' Toyota? I'm SO gonna get my a$$ kicked. ;)

After Steve had his little off-roader last year, we told him if he did it again we'd paint his car green (ala john Deere)and find a good mower deck for it so he could stay home and do his own lawn:D

Maybe that's the 'secret weapon' Steve's been talking about for the last month?!?!?

Nathan, registration isn't an issue, actually it's quite easy and you're exempt from the Drive Clean as a bonus. Although I understand that customs has made it a little more difficult to import the FFR for some reason. You realy need to have your s**t together when you get to the border.

I happened to be there during Steve's little lawn mowing exercise,I don't think I took a breath during that crossed up slide and dissappearing act.Sure felt better seeing his head pop up above the grass!;)

So 2200lbs and 365hp at the crank eh(not to mention some room for big ass tires)?Yeah thats a close power to weight comparision between your cobra and my corolla. I'd hoped they were a little heavier.
At least most courses are more handling than horspower, might prove to be fun this summer.

FUN - thats what we're here for!

According to the FFR gurus, the suspension mods I've done should help me out in the handling dept.. The FFR 4-link leaves a lot to be desired, which is why the switch to the 3-link, coil overs and sway bars. Hopefully it won't take me too long to get it sorted and dialed in (note the excuses starting already)

Now, if it was only possible to wave the wallet (now empty) and make the driver faster....
