Where to find Aluminum race jack? 1.5ton capcity for good price. Don't want to bring my 3.5 ton michelin beast along to the track...

All I can say is when it comes to aluminum 'racing' jacks is "You get what you pay for." I've seen a lot of the cheaper jacks and they don't have enough lateral stability when extended. If they don't shake and shimmy enough to scare the begeezus out of you they'll end up binding when you try to let them down.
My opinion..stick with a Brunnhoelzl (http://www.brunnhoelzl.com)

I'm pretty happy with my jack from CTC. It's not the world's best (certainly not a 600 USD 3-pump NASCAR jack ) but it gets the job done at the track.

I remember costco having an aluminum jack 1.5 tons for 99 bucks a year or two ago. I wish they still carried it.

I saw them for $50-60 at the surplus store in Blanford Mall (site of WOSCA SOLO2 events).

they're all different
costco had one 1.5 LIGHT aluminum jack for sale last year
with a lower lift height.. maybe 2.5 inches (i think)
the princess auto one is heavier.. and higher
can't recall the can tire one

I have one that I used only twice.
Specs: 3000 lbs max.
Min. height: 3 1/2"
Max. height: 17 1/2"
Paid $200 last April.
Will sell for $100.

I saw them there at the end of last year - you'll have to either call or have someone take a walk in there during the next event.
I mentioned it to a few people at the event I was at, but no one seemed too interested so I left it alone.

i picked up a "Qualifier" 2 ton "racing jack" from canadian tire last year for $250.
they're a lot cheaper now, the bastards.
big ups, good stability, low effort. 33lbs.

i got one of the Michelin jacks form CTC today. they only had 1 on their shelves. It loos like that is all they normally stock too.
btw 1 1/2 ton.
