I'm just trying to figure out what class my prelude will be in??
It's non-vtec and the only mods include a Short ram air intake, aftermarket muffler, coilovers on stock struts and I'll run different 15" rims with an R-compound tire.
I just want to know ahead of time who I'll be up against!!!

With the coilovers, and the intake, that puts you in DSS with 3 points.

Ouch those stock struts are going to kill you. Non-vtec and vtec Preludes get lumped together in Super Stock, wich is a little rough. But to be in stock, you'd have to remove the coilovers and the intake.

I'd recommend getting some good shocks (not Koni Yellows, for some reason they don't work very well on Preludes). The use your remaining points for weight removal. I'm not aware of anything you can add for 3 points that will give you any decent power gain.

what about a lighten'd flywheel..... isn't that two points in SS Then add a fire ext. and you still have two points for weight removal.....

a fire ext. will not offset more then 1 point... and it won't offset a flywheels lightening fire ext. and roll bar negative points can only be applied to the body and tirm portion of the prep points schedule.

I recommend going through the rules... and asking direct questions if you have any.

of course a fire ex. won't offset the flywheel.... I guess I'll leave it to the experts.....anyways read the post 3 points left in DSS on this car as setup already...

-2 for flywheel, leaves one

+1 for fire ex...,leaves two.....

-2 rear seats....

leaves zero

add full cage 2 more points do something else (interior body crap)
