View Full Version : So confused
Ok i'm posting this as a newbie and for all the newbies that I got interested. Here are the questions:
For Regional events:
1) Do i need a basic solo license?
For other solo 2 (i.e. cccc, pitl)
1) do I need a basic solo license?
2) are points collected towards that specific series? say i want to compete in the cccc series, and collect points for that series.

Mito: For CASC-OR Regional Solo 2 I am told you do not need a CASC Basic license, but you do need to belong to a CASC affiliated club. Having a Honda, you could join HADA (www.hadamotorsport.com). Having said that.. the application form for a basic license is on the Solo 2 documents page. Not sure why that would be there if it's not necessary.
For CCCC events, you need to belong to a CASC-OR affiliated club and be able to prove that (during registration I assume). This is a new requiremtn this year from that club. You do not need a CASC license.
For PITL Events, you do not need either requirement. For PITL ProSlalom events, I'm told they will be actively enforcing the no-novice rule (i.e. 3 events or more experience required).
Glad to see more Prelude Club guys wanting to come out. A number showed at a ProSlalom last year but never came out to any subsequent events.

Actually several TPC people have run a couple of PITTL events and a couple CASC-OR regional slaloms, including a rookie CSP class win in Brampton.
One member, Frank, also co-drove with me at Eastern Nationals.
thanks a bunch. I just wanted to be more organized before the open house so I can just hand my forms in.
