Are the ones with the symbol that is a lower case letter 'a' and a star. A lot of pro drivers are wearing them. I can't find it on the net for the life of me.

Do you mean this logo? If so it's from http://www.alpinestars.com but I thought they only made stuff for guys with 2 wheels?!

For the last couple of years they've also been sponsoring CART, and WRC drivers i.e. Subaru drivers (last year) Richard Burns, and now Tommi Makinnen as well.
Too bad they don't make a driving shoe more along the lines of the Sparco/Puma Speedcat because that would be sweet. ;)

Ok that was pointless. The site says squat about driving gloves. Just riding gear.

They only have a few pairs of driving gloves.
The ones known as F1-T are probably the ones you've seen being used.
Enter via the flash site and check under ridingwear/textile/gloves.

The F1-R gloves (and shoes) are what the rally boys wear.
It actually tells you what each sponsored driver wears if you go to the "athletes" section and then pick off the "4 wheel driving" categories.

OK I'm pretty sure those are not the gloves being used by any of the above mentioned. All the rally, F1 and CART drivers I've seen wearing this brand are wearing reverse stitched sued palmed gloves, which is what I've been looking for.
Not that it really matters, I settled on a pair of OMP gloves anyway.
WRC drivers all seem to wear Sparco gloves from what I've seen. Same with the F1 guys I think.

Oh ya then what do you call these, eh? :D

Of course, yes the majority of the drivers are wearing Sparco kit, or occasionally OMP.
And yes .. it does look like the stitching is inside out. Not very much like the ones Alpinestars has on their own website.

They could be Sparco Gloves with the Alpinestar logo on them.
They do that in other sorts all the time. Sundin never worn Nike skates, they were Bauer.
And I think JV's BAR Honda is really a Yugo in disguise.

Well, it certainly performs no better then a Yugo.

Ouch. Good point though.
I have the Sparco Profi gloves, and they are nice, although I should have gone with the next one up that has the inside out stitching. It relieves chafing at the seams (shaddap, this isn't HADA), since the seams are on the outside.

Does anybody know where to buy official Jackie Stewart racing underwear, also known as "Jackie Shorts". They are supposed to reduce the "pendulum effect" drivers with big cajones are subjected to during slaloms.;)
