It's going to be a fun event, this is the series where "consistency" wins.

It's not about pax, it more about consistency. Take a look at the regional results for some of the events. You'll notice a strange thing about some of the winners in the Regionals. It's the run that gets "lucky" cause they're going 11/10ths that wins, and if you look at the run times of those people, there are usually cones associated in at least one of the runs.

If that happens in this event, those people have no chance in getting close to the top.

Consistency is what counts, and you need to be consistently at 10/10th for each of the runs to get up there regardless of PAX.

Come out and have fun, and see how consistent you can be against others in your class or other classes. Some of the top runners in the previous "Solo with a Twist" event are not top runners in the CASC series.

Here's an example of the first event's top runners:

Robert T 2000 Mazda Miata CS 59.687 58.102 57.63 60.57 57.515 56.712 284.7256 99.9999
Kyle L 2004 Subaru WRX STI ESS 60.476 58.012 58.015 57.03 58.476 57.323 286.8015 99.2761
Ed F 2003 Acura RSX Type S GS 63.197 63.376 61.219 62.194 60.631 60.97 292.0673 97.4862
Trung D 2004 Subaru WRX STI AS 60.634 60.793 57.278 57.535 59.101 58.211 292.7410 97.2619
Mike A 2000 Subaru Impreza DSP 62.674 60.674 57.339 56.935 58.012 55.277 294.0634 96.8245
Don S 2004 Subaru WRX DS 64.342 62.342 62.114 60.764 59.933 61.286 295.8832 96.2290
Alain H 2005 Subaru Impreza GS 62.496 62.333 60.832 61.276 67.458 62.086 295.9140 96.2190
Brent W 2004 Subaru WRX DS 66.213 64.213 62.641 63.882 62.115 62.855 304.7713 93.4226
Jason D 1993 Honda Civic HS 68.693 70.693 63.551 62.701 66.693 64.141 308.8516 92.1884

Now compare to last weeks top runners from the CASC Series and you'll see that Pax doesn't really matter.

Hope this helps. Come out and have a great time. I'm sure you will!

I dunno Joe

I made the top 9 but I was off course for my first 2 runs.... and then there was cones on most of my other runs... well I was consistently sucking all day .. I guess Consistentacy counts

In the spirit of Targa Rally......you should alter the course for each run!

jason tried that by moving cones around each run.

But, thats a great idea and maybe next year we will do exactly that with no course walks after the first run. After all targa isn't going to be a one off for me :D
