I popped the cap a few times while at the track last time. I assume I was making the pump work hard, and that the fluid got real hot. There was no noticeable difference in the steering input.
So I guess its time to flush the fluid. Anyone have a recommendation on what to use?

Is there a TSB for this problem? (I take it you mean that the cap popped off by itself.)
I'm pretty sure there are different grades of power steering fluid available, but not all may be compatible with your car. Some cars even use ATF, for power steering fluid.
I'd just refill the reservoir and make sure the system is properly bled before making any changes.

I tried switching to Mobil-1 ATF on the suggestion of somebody from OMSC that heard it from Ian Law. It didn't fix my problem, but I never had any issues with the fluid.

Is there a TSB for this problem? (I take it you mean that the cap popped off by itself.) Yes, it popped off by itself, with enough force to snap the plastic retaining strap. But it had the decency to remain lodged in the engine compartment.
I'm not sure if there's a TSB on this item. This is the first time I've heard of this type of problem, but I'll be doing some more research before the next Solo 1 event.

if your power steering fluid level is too high and you have a tab of air trapped in teh system that will cause the cap to pop off.
I use Mobil 1 ATF.
