Re: Quest 4 West event
From: Terry Epp President
On July 6, CARS received an email outlining an event called Quest
4 West apparently being organized by Allainet and being held
August 16 to August 20. CARS does not support this event nor
would it offer sanction if CARS had been asked.
Posted regulation 21, "The first team to find all the check
points in the order prescribed in the Quest4West handbook will
receive a cash give-away of $25,000.", coupled with what appears
to be no significant regulatory checkpoints implies that this
event does not appear to follow customary regulations that would
apply to a CARS road rally and indeed implies an event with which
CARS would not want to be involved.
This communications is intended as a private communication to the
executives of CARS member clubs should questions arise regarding
the status of this event in terms of sanction.
