1. Nothing stops a gaggle of hotshoe drivers like a gaggle of geese standing in the middle of 134.
2. Don't trust Joe when he says he's not coming.
3. Apparently PMSC knows how to set a H Stock course! (I believe the whole top 5 were H Stock)
4. You can't drive across lake Simcoe from Keswick to Gilford until they build a bridge (and it's a long detour.)
5. I don't think the course was as bad as many expected.
6. It is possible to enter the stop box completely backward...
7. Sausages are way quicker than hamburgers at a chip wagon.
8. A bee on Ashley's foot is more important than righting a downed cone.
Congrats to Hanif on the win and Paul K. who just edged out Mikey at the end for FTD.
Good work today Doug, Wes, Tony, and the rest of PMSC and the Timing Committee.
1. I will no longer try to compete with a certain caged, gutted, 500lbs lighter than my P5, ultra-prepped, corvette blue civic on V710's.
2. Joe's Exxon Valdez can be fast on any size course.
3. I will not forget my map book.
4. But it wasn't THAT long of a detour.
5. It's more enjoyable when you have someone to talk to on the ride their and home, even if she won't let you pass yet.

I learned a few things
if Dave or Ivano Appeared on Fear factor a picture of me autocrossing will cause them to loose... Where were you guys today????
Wes likes to win Donuts .... Next Time Wes... Next Time
Tarps are a sweet Idea to place under the car, not only does it keep the tires clean from grass all day but it allows me to change my exhust is a ralatively cool environment...
I work my Brother too hard.... But I couldn't of had 3 class wins so far this season without his help.
My Brother is geeting great at Video taping my runs so that I can see where I screwed up...
I still need to figure out how to use said knowledge of where I screwed up...
If you don't go to an Oval... the Oval will come to you....
4:30.....hopefully I don't ever have another wake up call like that again....
toooo tired to write any more....

why not? you were getting closer by the end of the day ... always push for first in class... never settle on a pecking order
Anyways for the sake of comparasion.... it's 2033 lbs without driver with a full tank of gas... it did not have a full tank of gas

Okay 750lbs lighter. I was getting faster and should have had more but still.

1) I can build a website but I can't figure out how to set an alarm clock. Yeah, 5:30 PM is a great time to wake up. I'm going to get a 24 hour clock or something...

7. Sausages are way quicker than hamburgers at a chip wagon.
Hey I warned everyone about that at the Driver's meeting!
It was fun for me to watch everyone yesterday, thanks to all who came.
1. Translation from native Geese: "As a matter of fact I do own the road"
2. Inverse logic, the smaller the lot the more stray cars are left over from the night before. The last car to get moved must have been the drunkest the night before.
3. I thought I was going to have tank slap by going in circles all day but it seems someone else had oil pan issues for the same reason.
4. Soft suspension made for a challenging struggle to better my times.
5. Tips from your marquee mates can make a huge difference.
6. Tips given to other drivers makes them faster and more fun for class battles and cross class battles.
7. Seeing Rs on the left side and streets on the right seemed just wrong when going counter clockwise.
8. Backroads all the way home was almost the best part of the day.
9. Changing back to streets at the end of a hot day will never be fun.
10. 1st class win is a sweet thing indeed. So that is what it feels like in the penthouse. I'll wear a tie next time.
Kudos for making the day better than it might have been on a tiny lot.

1) Upgrading only the rear sway bar on an Elantra has some interesting effects.
2) Changing engine pulleys is a fast way to end up in the wrong class when suspension mods consist of everything listed above.
3) There's never any other Hyundai's at events... but I think I know why...
4) Sunblock would probably have been a good idea or at least that's the idea I get everytime I get up to walk today.

Unseen bugs leave nasty welts!!!!!!!!!!!
Unseen bugs HURT LIKE HELL!!!!!!!
Moving up to a class you are totally unprepped for sucks!

Wes just stay in that class now ok, not to be rude but we don't want you back :)
things I learned
1. Having a blast at Subaru Targa event the day before on really decent ashphalt is not a good way to see what your car is going to be like.
2. being 8 tenths off of the leader in class isn't so bad I guess.
3. 8 tenths on Yokohama's is pretty kewl.
4. not knowing what to change on your car sucks.
5. using hope to go faster doesn't seem to work as well as figuring out the car.

4. not knowing what to change on your car sucks.
The solution to that problem is simple... Pick a different car :D
1) Fuel starvation on hard lefthanders occurs with about 5L in the tank
2) Fuel starvation is mildly scary when the nearest gas station is 10km away
3) There is some really nice scenery in Ontario - I just don't happen to live near any (actually I already knew this)
4) 4th gear is WAY too close to 2nd gear (ouch!)
5) Left foot braking makes for instant dorifto, but only sometimes
6) Taking Wes' advice is good for shaving 2.5s off my next-best run
7) Blowing the stop box by 6" after shaving 2.5s off my next-best run really sucks
8) My car stereo likes to overheat?!

Not too many different lines around two circles...
Thanks to Tony for pointing out and fixing a lost engine mount nut(no thanks to Subaru Technicians at SOM...
Anna is more worried about the car than I am...
Sorry PMSC, but were skipping this event next year(if the cars is still alive)

- I can die a happy man, I've seen an Omni turbo!
- Just because I have the engine from the "Red Paseo Guy" doesn't mean I'll be as quick as him!
- underdrive pulley puts me in a class WAY over my head!
- No matter how many times I'm told not to, I still seem to B-line it to the cones!
- Door prize draws aren't fixed, contrary to what I've beleived my entire life!
- I've got a week to source a loud snapping noise... too many possibilities.

Try lower control arm bushings.........or engine mounts.

Jay I discovered the same thing when I first tried my corolla as well! ;)
Are you going to show up next weekend with a little extra fuel for the 2nd driver? :)

event i went to with my currently uncompetitive car: this one
even i'm missing with a course suited to my car: corvette.
doh!
G's insight is incredible. i haven't been in a car that rotates like that since a mk1 vw. .... it blows my mind that a MY2000+ car can weight under 2000 lbs and pass all the gross safety crap we deal with nowadays.
G - great driving, and wow, what a great little car!

1. Although previously unheard of, my Nexen tires on VERY heavy 17" wheels
managed to run 3 full seconds ahead of my A-008R/Azenis combination.
2. It's very encouraging to not place last in your class and especially so to
not have the worst FTD.
3. Apparently $20 in aerodynamic enhancements does not increase
downforce on Fieros.
4. Two of the four Rogue Squadron members winning $20 kicked ass.
5. When your entire team shows up for an event, you tend to do quite well.
6. My 16 year old car is capable of getting 500km to a full tank even with
a full day of racing.
