Nice pics...but again on my work day! And another STi!

And is that black Neon Turbocharged? I see an intercooler! I'm a big Neon fan, I'd like to drive it! My 95 Sport Coupe was a 14.4 second car all-motor back in 97,. What is this one running?

Yep it's turboed - the 2.4L out of the srt-4/pt cruiser. It should fly once Nate gets it tuned in with some sticky tires.

lol. Anytime we're at the same event, the key's are yours...I'd love to see what an experienced driver could do with it. It's....entertaining....to drive.
Of note, Cliff smoked me yesteday in his 3.55 trans'ed stock SOHC car. :D
14.4 is pretty quick! 2.0? 2.4?

I had a great time on Saturday...another very well run event.
Thanks to Cliff for his 2 (lug) nuts. Don't ask.

I'm quite happy with how the car ran, (ie, didn't blow up) though I quickly found out that a 'large' displacement engine, a tiny turbo, and ball + spring boost controller result in binary boost. All or nothing baby.
This, in turn, apparently results in tiresmoke...and little I could do about it short of backing out of boost. The Azenis took the beating admirably.

(I'm no drag racer, but I'm gunning to run 12.999 by the end of the season.... time will tell. There are a couple SRT's taunting me, goading me into action. ;) )

It's only my second season doing this as well! And YES it was quick! They were mostly bolt-on stuff except for the custom catless exhaust and A LOT of time was spent on porting and polishing the Head to perfection :D and whatever could be removed was REMOVED!

I think Brent Harrington should drive your car as well! I've driven Cliff's car and it handles better than mine, it just lacks 168 HP :D !

And the SRT-4 was our choice car until they anounce the availability of the STi( which I've wanted since 97' )

There are events next Sunday TLMC(Barrie) and WOSCA(Woodstock)! Every PITL event that is scheduled falls on the Saturday that I work which is every other!

Only of a section of the run order, I got lazy/busy and wasn't able to get everyone.

I took a very limited number of pictures, and most of them are of the green 'rocco for the benefit of the VW guys at home, but anyway, here they are:

Yes... that wasabi-green fibreglass car (with a scirocco unibody and roof-top) does LOOK like a fast car.

Look at that wannabe dukes of hazzard mofo. Is it me.... or does he have a big head???

And of ALL the people in his party.... why did you have to get HIM bent over the car from behind.... honestly.

jduffett.... your car sounds great out there! We were all talking about it under the tent... V6 growl! NICE!!!
(Kinda sounds like the new Nissan V6 motors... only your noise is more intake and theirs is more exhaust - theirs is deeper... and yours is in the head / cammy!!!)

Well, I certainly owe Brent!. He let me run his car for the full PITL event a while back. Very, VERY quick. Good call on the STI.... I think it's a much better rounded car than the SRT (this coming from a Neon-boi :D ). I won't be able to make it to any Sunday events. :( , so 'hopefully' I run into you at some Saturday, or other event...

Ja, I was expecting faster...
