Well since Opal mentioned it in the Regional thread, I figured somebody should start it. <G>

1) Listening to Garbage at the start line, on the 6th run of a stupid hot day, does not help with hitting cones....

2) smaller driving shoes are good... except when you find that your foot can make it between the edge of the gas and brakes in the stop box....

3) RX-7's are really good at putting on a show.....

4) Spatial Amnesia does exist.... especially on a complicated course....

5) Not walking the course enough in the morning, (see #4) leads to a really, really big difference in time between run 1, and run 2 (even if run 1 is on course)

6) Blue is my colour....

7) 215 wide 710's on 13's look sweet....

8) Sunblock and shade are good.... just remember about the "white boy glow" when putting it on while the shirt is off....

9) Peeler definately needs to keep the shirt on....

10) Just because you fit under the car with the top up, and a helmet on... doesn't mean it doesn't make you look like a whimp...

1. Panasports, and their clones, look GREAT on Miata's.
2. Stiffen the rear swaybar BEFORE making any runs....better yet, instead of partying with sister until till 3am, get prepped the night before.
3. V710's + experienced driver driving stock Neon > Azenis + non-stock Neon. I maintain that I had more fun...but I think Cliff'll disagree. ;)
4. Azenis are a TOUGH tire. They looked the same at the end of the day, as at the start.
5. There's nothing 'quite' like watching an STI spin 4 tires on the launch. Mechanical empathy be damned.
6. Bring spare lugnuts....
7. Peak torque at 3k rpms makes pulling out of corners easier.
8. I GOTTA figure out how to get a PS pump back in the car....though spinning tires lighten the steering a 'little'. ;)
9. I need 15x7's, 225-50-15 R'compounds, and a LSD. And seat time. Not necessarily in that order.
10. Scientist's are right: you most certainly CAN get sunburn on a very cloudy day. :D

1. Getting your tire pressures right might be more important than having better tires.
2. The bright side of wearing the outside of your tires is that it should increase your negative camber.
3. Holding your breath on a hot humid day causses dizzyness.
4. Nothing smells worse than the porta potty at the Hershey Center.

1. There's no point in playing with tire pressure until I'm a consistent enough driver to notice.

2. If I'm going to take a 2-sec penalty from hitting a cone, make sure I'm faster than 2 secs on that run instead of 1.5 secs.

3. When I forget to deactivate stability control for a run, I can keep the throttle to the floor for the entire run. Surprisingly, letting the electronics do all the driving is only 5 secs slower (which could be a reflection of any number of things)

4. Remembering what number each driver is, is a completely non-transferable skill.

5. Using the grass across the street is better than the porta potty. But the analogy "pissing in the wind" is no longer just an analogy. Remember folks, pee downwind.

Priceless!!!
