1. Rain tires are only of any use if it actually rains all day. Patience is a virtue with 710s.
2. The number of events I have fun at is inversely proportional to the number of events Hanif attends. There's probably a character flaw in there somewhere but I'm likely in denial about it.
3. When I drive other peoples cars they are usually impressed with either the way I drive or the time I turn, but rarely both. For some reason it's very unimpressive when I'm actually faster than them.
4. If you want to feel like a big man then don't let give your car to a 20 year veteran for fun runs at the end of the day.
7 runs plus fun runs. 3 in the rain, then 4 on the drying track after lunch break (last two fully dry).

So did you win your class since Hanif wasn't there? And if so did anyone point it out that you would win your class because hanif wasn't there?

WIL:
1) If you attempt to change your tires to adapt to the weather, you will end up doing 4 tires changes, yet always be one tire change behind the weather

1) subframe brace rocks
2) my falken 451 tires are great in the rain...and the dry
3) adjustability is sweet for changing track conditions
4) R-compounds are on my to-do list for next year.... beware
5) its cool when you swap cars and both drivers match the best time that the other did in their own car....

I won overall quite handelly. Until the rain stopped I had a good battle for FTD going.

Rain seems to work to my advantage for some reason... I even hit more cones in the dry.
Too bad I couldn't stay in HS! :D

Getting up late and still being one of the earlier arrivals is weird, bring thoughts like "is the event still on" when looking at the grey clouds in the not too far distance
Not changing tires at the event is nice
Standing water + old hankook r's + never having driven a rwd car makes for a couple of interesting runs.
Both feet in :)
I missed the power of the 710s
Lunch breaks are good, especially when the track is drying when you get back.
Miata's are easy to drive once you get the hang of it.
I got the hang of it after about 3-4 fun runs, a couple high 47's compared to a best of 50.2 in competition (a little too late for the score sheet)
