Glad to see the Talon's are out in force in the west and there is a "good" turn out in ESP.
Well, it's only 3500km's away. A day and half straight with a co-driver...nah, not this time. :(
Where are Nationals next year?

The car is real, but I'd worry more about the Talon (assuming he let's Tony pass tech :p ).

I'll have to agree with you on this one Taylor...that's pretty sad, but you can add two more to that list :D :D
SCCA nationals list is at around 350 pre-registered

Pat, he'll let me pass tech for sure...lol........otherwise he'll never know just how outclassed he is......
All in fun, I hope you guys have some decent cars and drivers out there. it looks like ESP is going to be a big class

Well I mean my point is it's a joke.
I have the title of the 2003 Canadian Easter Champion in.. umm.. DSS I think driving a friends car, first time I ever drove a Civic competitively. 5 guys in the class and I was in the worst prepared car, we were taking points for delSol seats, 300K suspension, f'ing brakes were barely working, it was touch and go if I could stop in time before the end of the ridiculously long stop box.
Keep having events like this in the middle of nowhere without any real promotion and the results are more and more meaningless. Especially out west where there seems to be a fraction of the competitors and events we have in a 500sq km area here. Same goes for the east coast, I mean Atlantic Canada probably accounts for a maximum of 100 different competitors in the last 5 years. But they would hold national competitions in PEI and Red Deer. I mean.. WTF are they smoking?
That said PEI (Slalom at Slemon) was a lot of fun and I did it two years in a row, nationals one year and easterns the next.
I'd still like to know why we haven't had this event in Ontario. I mean Americans are much much less likely to travel to Quebec due to the language barrier. I realize we're not in the middle in Canada, I suppose that might be Winnipeg? but having it out west or out east just doesn't make any sense to me.
Anyhow I gather they're still good events, it's just the designation, it's not representitive.

I'd still like to know why we haven't had this event in Ontario.
Apparently this event is to be in the East next year, ie anything from ontario to newfoundland.
the CNAC committee will be accepting proposals for hosting the event later this year. ( Once they figure out what the perimeters are)
I agree we need to increase the level of this event, but one of the only ways of doing so is to get competitors out to participate.
I hope a few more people from Ontario go out

Taylor - we'd also need a venue to hold the event.

If Tony drives like he can... he'll do well. I have NO DOUBTS.

Bah! A DECH setup car was better than a Saleen IMO.

We were working on it. WOSCA has all the equipment, the man power and the money to do it without a sponsor but we can't find a venue.

I had it penciled in, but I don't even want to attempt a 3500km drive in my white car if I can barely survive a 600km one.
Ugh.
Maybe next year with my new H-stock PAX killer car :D
Guillermo

There's only 1 H-stock car and the driver is a Novice.

The PMG event will have the most competitors and most / best competition this side of Topeka.... IMHO. And we don't have those hokey Ladies classes... or Street Tire / STX-type classes
Too bad at the tri-event, we're not all classed / scored the same way... but either way.... we can still compare... I look forward to it more than anything else.... kinda puts the "Nationals" into perspective.
And I have great promise for the course layout on top of it all!

So, why don't i see your name on the entry list for PMG...or for that matter about 70 other regionally registered competitors....

Because... I can't get the pre-registration thing to work for me... and in all honesty... it doesn't hurt me to do it the other way....

Maybe he wants to keep the competition guessing as to whether or not he is going to show up or not....... (I have to urge to use a rolls eyes smiley, but they are way overused on this forum so I won't)

Jeff, Yvan should be able to rersolve any issues you're having with the online system. I had issues getting in and he was able to clear them up very quickly.

Just tell them the truth, your not sure if the new green paint job will be finished in time :p
