Passing this along. Website is up, and for those of us with competition experience, I for one can say those Cameron karts are a hoot...
SS
Well the dates are set, the tracks are confirmed, and the NEW website should be up and running by the end of the week. I just wanted to give those previous racers the first shot at making their reservations. I will have the pledge forms and brochures with me at Indy for those who are wanting to reserve their spot. All registrations will be taken on line and confirmations sent out within 48 hours. You will have a chance to see whom you are racing against and how you place in the grid. Please check it out at www.raceforacure.ca.
The new information regarding our 10th Semi-Annual Huntington Race For A Cure event is as follows;
1/ Saturday Sept 10th/05 8 am- 2 pm Centennial Parkway, Etobicoke (427/401) grid of 30 karts! a second day will be added if this event fills
2/ Sunday Sept 24th/05 Cameron Motorsports, Hamilton (on the mountain on Upper James)
race one Pro Track 2 pm-5:30 pm *Great Gulf Homes Trades and Employees*
race two Pro Track 5:30 pm- 9:00 pm Open Race
race three Public Track 8:30 am- 12:00pm Open Race
race four Pro Track 9:00 am - 1:30pm *CANAC Builder Challenge*
To race the Pro Track at Cameron Motorsports, you are required to have go kart experience. no beginners please. These karts are quite a bit faster than the regular public karts, they can go up to speeds of 65km/hr. If you are new to go karting not a problem the public track is lots of fun and can be very challenging!
All teams will still be made of UP TO FOUR drivers, driver changes, and approx 2- 2 1/2 hours of racing. No fuel changes will be required at either tracks are they are different karts and can accommodate the longer running time. Due to the increased expenses we have raised the minimum to $400 per kart which shouldnt be a problem since most teams do a fantastic job at raising well over that. Since the second event we have been able to keep the costs low without having to raise the minimum but like everything else in life there are unfortunates. We still are stiving to keep the event as lean as possible, accepting donations and gifts in kind whereever we can. All proceeds will be directed to the CAUSE for finding the cure and providing assistance for individuals and families with Huntington's through much needed services.
Thank you again for your support and I look forward to seeing you and your friends at our next event. If you have any questions, or are not able to make it to this event please pass this on to someone you think may want to join us in "waving the checkered flag" to beat Huntington's Disease.
