2005 Casc-or Agm

I know it's early and I know you'll announce it eventually, but some of us have to plan flights around it if we can fit it into our schedule.

So if anyone knows when it'll be this year (November I assume) I would appreciate it greatly!

The CASC-OR AGM will be Saturday, Novemeber 12, 2005 at 11am. Room TBD. All invited. Admission is free.

The CASC-OR Awards Celebration for the 2005 race season will be held on the same day. Cocktails 6pm, Dinner 7pm. Room TBD. Tickets are $50 or $100 for a pair.

Both events are at the Sheraton Parkway at Highway #7 and the 404.

I know it's too early to get an agenda for the meeting. but I am curious to know what sort of topics get discussed at the AGM?

Voting for serveral offices. I think VP and a couple of Directors are up this year. Not me of course, I have one more year.

An agenda will go out about a month before on the topics. Our Region Race Director usually has a wonderful powerpoint presentation on the previous years stats.

Not all of are meat eaters, and last year's dinner featured nary a non-dead-animal option.

This is NOT the SoloOntario Banquet. This banquet is for the Regional Road Racers. Solo people are welcome though........

The AGM will have a very brief question and answer session for each discipline (not the meeting to bring up potential rule changes for Solo, that would be at the Solo Workshops) and will outline the direction that CASC-OR will be taking in the next few years.

There will also be a RACE workshop that will be seperate from the AGM that will take place at the same location (at least it was the last couple of years), but in a different time slot.

The SoloOntario banquet will be the weekend before at an another location as will the Solo Workshops (the place to discuss potential rule changes for Solo)........ These announcements will be coming.

The region's AGM includes the RaceOntario awards celebration, but is primarily for the region's higher awards like the President's Trophy, the Wayne Kelly Memorial, the Wilson, the Knap, the Reid, the Dorey, et cetera. Hnatiw's emceed the past few and is always a riot.

Well it looks like the boss has put a stopper on that idea as he has transferred me to a new store and am unable to get that weekend off.

Too bad as I had quite a good time last year and hoped to make it out again. Mabye next year. Hopefully someone else will show up from the TBAC to keep the bar open as late as possible.

For the Solo banquet 2 years ago, I just called ahead and they made me a vegan meal. It was no big.
