Hi, I am new to solo ontario (I do solo in Quebec with LAPS and in the north-east with EMRA and NASA).

I was wondering what a typical day looks like (practice sessions? how many timed sessions? etc.)

thanks for any replies. it'll help me plan my day (Mosport may 18th or 19th, not sure yet)

regards,
Liam

Hello Liam in Montreal, here's how a day rolls out.

7:30 - 8:30 Registration
8:45 Driver's meeting
9:00 - 9:30 Morning practice lapping
10:00 - 4:30 Competition runs
4:30 - 5:00 Open lapping

All times are approximates except for the Registration which closes at 8:30 sharp.

You generally get about 4 timed sessions but some of larger tracks like Shannonville Pro and Cayuga you might only get 3 sessions depending on how many people are competing.

Each session consists of 1 warm up lap, 3 timed laps, and 1 cool down lap.

Hope this helps.

I'll try to get there early then.... do the tire thing and all that.

Does mosport have electrical outlets?, and also, could you point me to some in-car video of the DDT track?

Thanks! looking forward to trying out Mosport. It makes our local tracks seem tiny (besides Tremblant of course)

regards,
Liam

I don't think that there are any electrical outlets at the DDT track nor do I have any links to in car video footage from the track. Maybe someone else on this board and they will post them.

Remember this is not the big Grand Prix track, it's the much smaller one. However, it's still a really fun track. It's only downfall is that it is a bit narrow. Otherwise it's awesome. It's got lots of interesting elevation changes, blind corners, etc. Lots of fun.

Here's some other additional info on the track including directions and an overhead photo with key areas marked off. Note that pit exit/entry are interchangeable.

Liam: If you go to www.wiredmotorsports.com I put up a little article for you (and others) entitled - "Solo Ontario Events #1 and 2 Approaching" there are numerous videos, different angles and cars of the track. All in Counter Clockwise config (a couple with a kink).
