I'll give it a go. I've been meaning to make it out to one of these events this summer, and last week they closed for weather. Poor car....between TMP on Friday, lapping at Dunnville, and taking me and my bike to a 24 bike race that afternoon......
It's gonna be a great weekend. ;)
EDIT: Anyone know how they are for rules? Will people running 13.99 or faster need a helmet at this event?

Ivano, I was wondering when you were going to post about this. Anyways, I'm in. I'd like to see what my stock 90 GT will do. My 93 GT did a 16.3@84 when it was stock, but with half the KMs the 90 has.
Anyways, I what time are you guys heading up there? I work in Hamilton til 7, so what are they chances you all can meet me at my work on the way up, and we can all roll together. My work is one block off the 403, and I can get us there quickly.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it.. Car won't be broken in at that time but hopefully it will be assembled.. Muahahahaha...
No Legacy I know of does 11's.. No way!! Now to wait for the custom axles.

Nothing was wrong with the engine, it was the tranny that grenaded at Brampton, and while it was apart, I decided to refresh the components by putting in new components, like new pistons, rods, valve job, seals, timing belt, etc. Costs much less if done while the engine is out, so I took advantage.

Why did the tranny grenade? Not because you're naturally aspirated.. ;)
I won't be getting my new tires on until saturday or I'd go. My quest for 14's will have to wait.

If the weather's ok tomorrow(it's not looking good though), you should stop by my work before hand. We'll get that car of yours nice and shiney for the track....

Based on my very limited experience, stay at home if it looks like rain. My first attempt at this event (last week), resulted in a 1 hr drive to a closed gate. And I had called in advance. "Yes sir, we will be open, it's clearing up".

Nah - minivans are too loaded down with crap, leftover food, sticky surfaces, and bits and pieces that go flying if you move too fast!

Likely... it all depends when I'm done work. I guess there is the possibility I'll show up at your work before 7... but don't count on it. ;)

So what do you guys think, tonight or reschedule for September some time?

I'd have to say so, depending how how far people come. It's not that big a deal to me, as I'm a lot closer than the Toronto folks, to get there to discover closed gates. It could be a pain for someone coming from further out....
Last time I went to the strip it was raining in the morning and it took hours for them to open the track after it rained. It's probably not worth the drive if you're in the GTA to go out there and not be able to run.

The rain isnt letting up here in Toronto, I will not be going to TMP. I think maybe the second or thrid Friday in September I'll try again. Hope you guys can make it out then.

Yea it's off and on spitting near the track. Drag guys are the only ones worse than oval guys when it comes to rain. I had a King of the Hill called off when I already had my helemt on. The race steward told me that banked ovals were death traps in the rain and I didn't want to risk it... I then quoted him my best wet lap time at that oval and voulenteered to go dry the track.
