Well, despite the bitter cold weather I had an absolute blast this weekend at Mosport. I really enjoyed the "kinked" track on Sunday despite my rookie-inspired 180 loop at 120kph at the end of the straight (where Timo went off later in the day). That antic resulted in one corded Yoko that put the Stang on the trailer for the afternoon.

I'm really looking forward to battling it out with a certain MR2 in A/SS2 this season. :) Taylor, at least I beat your S2000 times from last year. :D I'll do my best to make it as hard for you as I can this season. hehe I'm heading out to Toronto Motorsports Park to work on the skill department on June 2. :) I'm 1 second off Kirk's best for the "ring" from last year, so I need to step it up a bit.

I'll definitely be out. Barring any unforseen circumstances we'll be out to Shannonville on the 15/16 weekend.

You're not going to be out for a while?

Chris,
My Nissan series races conflict with all Solo I's except 3 weekends, so we'll be there for those.

See you at one of them soon.

Chris: Well, all due respect my times last year were in a stock class. Your mustang is umm.. far from stock. :) But the circumstances were pretty similar. I must say I felt pretty crappy Saturday when you were so close to me. Like. GAK. I've run that config before damnit. :) (first time in that car mind you but still). At least bleeding the brakes on Sunday helped out a bit more and at the gap that day made a little more sense. (no one that I knew ever ran that config.. it was nice. I liked it better, but I still dislike the second kink, I just can't get through it smoothly). I was a little disappointed we didn't run the same config because I needed to know how much my performance on Saturday was due to the brake problems I was having.

That said I have little doubt I'd have been much faster that weekend in my S2000, that car I can drive, I can't figure out the MR2 yet. At least it's more fun to drive than last year. But a 93 LSD tranny is sorely needed I think.

Does the Stang have an LSD?

you have a HKS BOV right?
it sounds neat

Turbo XS actually.

It's annoying. :) I liked it for the first 10 minutes. Then driving around town I felt like a tool (*to the peanut gallery: Shut it!*) especially with the rich mixture between shifts. At least the computer now compenstates for that so now it actually makes sense to have it, whereas before it was a straight-up rice move (unintentional, but I didn't know about By-Pass-Valves and the difference at the time of purchase)

yep.... if you have a mass air flow system it really gets messed up with a BOV between shifts ..you can get neat flames though :)

i have a greddy type S used in a recirculating mode..i asked for the quitest one they make since your right it gets to be a bit much with the noise factor..

anyway for the track its ok since all the riced hondas are out there anyway....

nudge nudge :)

no comments on my wing :)

Yes... the second day was more interesting, although I didn't really get a chance to figure the car out in the kinks before I had to pull it off the track. :( The car is really well sorted out, I just have to convince myself that I really can throw it into the corners the way I should be. I guess that will come with time.

If you're interested, June 2nd is a lapping day down at Cayuga (TMP). Probably $100 for the day, unlimited. I'm going to slap the new Kumhos on next week and get some seat time under my belt.

Adam, are you the one driving the red 240? Very nice. :) One of the cars I was watching closely all weekend.

Chris: I'll either be at the Big Track or doing a Solo 2 Event that day. I need "during-the-week" lapping events or schools.
