View Full Version : the last nail in the coffin for honda
so the deed has been done...so far i have been running around on a half ass fuel system, that is pretty much limiting my boost to around 12-13psi(4x310cc injectors and 2x480cc extra injectors are what is being used now)
..now the power and ultimate fear of nissan will be shown to honda, and everlasting glory of nissan will be known through out....
new injectors are now on order with a new MAF, and new program to control it.....the injectors are 720cc msd units with the 2x480cc extra injectors to overspray any areas we deem as bad or unsafe...that can easily take any power requirement that will be needed to lay a beating to the hondas....
i can hear the hondas rust screaming in pain....the fear is mounting.....ohhh noooooo can this be true.......
ha ha ha ha....

It is really sad that a POS Nissan has to be boosted to with in an inch of its life to be competetive with a NA Honda ...

I have no comment. Anything I say can be used against me in a court of law. I have the right to remain silent.
ouch..the evil honda boys strike back a blow to nissan..... 1 more psi boost added just for that..ha ha take that you high revving high compression little honda motors...(poof ..bang..as that extra psi of boost breaks my piston lands and a plume of black fog follows the poor nissan around the track :) )
well my motor came stock with 8.6:1 compression on a NA motor..so it is ripe to be boosted, with some 94 fuel most of the other guys in the usa are running at 15psi with no problems..so 15psi it is...you will not be let off with a meager 10psi...
they must pay.....for every honda civic with LED windshield washer nozzles and 17inch rims...the toll must be high..payment is due...and nissan is the dealer

Where you going with 720s? thats overkill. Why do you need the extra 480s with 720s. 720s are for 30 psi. You need to check your injector pulse width and perhaps your fuel rail is too small and the injectors and the end are being starved. Often restrictions in the fuel system and the FPR are the main issue and larger injectors just mask the true problem. You may be running rich on 2 cyl. and ok on the other 2 which does not make max power.
hi nick,
yep its over kill, 720cc injectors will be good to approx 25psi boost....or more...not that my motor can take over 15psi...but you have to buy for the future :)
i really dont't need the 2x480cc injectors anymore..but they are already installed and working under a separate computer control system..so it would be more of a pain in the arse to get rid of them then just leave them in place...they are easily shut off by just turning a knob on the controller...
re: fuel rail...
nope it is good for 720cc's and the current injectors are not getting starved...keep in mind i have a 2.4l motor and it sucks fuel...and has a large rail
re: fuel system....
i have a 1000hp rated inline fuel pump by aeromotive see link
http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/products/1000hp_pump.shtml
, that is running on 10an lines ...with a fuel filter before and after the pump, with 10an fuel distribution block, that supplies the NOS system, stock position 4 injectors, and the extra injector system...i think 10an lines and that pump would easily support any fuel that is required..
the 720cc injectors can each support 91.42hp
so thats only 365.68hp...
the 480cc injectors can each support 60.94hp
so thats only 121.88hp
thats at 80% duty cycle and using .60 BSFC
so these are realistic figures, of course they can be pushed alot further...but this is running stock fuel pressure, and not maxing out the injectors..
the new computer program works in conjunction with the MAF which is recalibrated for the higher air flow....several 240sx's are using the 720cc injectors and have no problems with idle..what is nice about this new system is...that the computer 100% calculates the fuel needed..so that i can use my fancy smancy new boost controller to automatically increase the boost as speed increases...and the engine will retain the correct A/F ratio....
what are you using in your talon? you must have a larger system than what i am using...
adam
sorry nick is bubblecar?
who is turboawd?

I think turboawd is Nino but I'm not 100% sure.
yeah it is illegal in solo 1...silly rules...other wise i would have just used my nitrous system all these years...i have not used it on the street since my turbo system has gone in...but i do have a full bottle at home that i am going to use up on a few dyno runs..just to see what happens...(at the end of the solo 1 season)
nitrous is very fun on the street..quite a kick in the pants...i run a proportional direct port fogger system, computer controlled, with 75shot...
2 years ago dynoed 204rwhp and 198ftlbs..with just the nos system... not bad for a little 4 banger on spray...

Dude, that's 15psi US ! With the exchange rate you can run 23.034psi in Canada! Crank it up!
AWESOME.... 23psi is more like it :)

Adam, I don't know how much you spent on your turbo set up but with the amount of fun you are having your doing OK in the fun per dollar area.
the fun per dollar comes on the street..when a carrera 4 pulls up and looks at my silly little car with a big wing, then starts to rev his motor..so we go a bit off the line...and to his suprize after 2nd gear he gets smoked :)
that is fun....
