There is a calendar on the blue bar up there ^. Please add all you event dates to it to share all your club events with the rest of us. If more people use it the more it will be used. Is that a Yogi Bera saying??? Oh well you get the point.

Thanks Crusher, and I have noted that you already have the Ice Race Dates up for all to see.

Whaddya know.

Clubs won't be able to add their events unless they are an Admin or Moderator if the site or have been given user access to do so.

Any user registered on this forum can add an event. We should see all clubs General meetings, events, parties (I like that one) or anything else to do with their club. Try not to get carried away and post things like Schumacher's Birthday or that the Groundhog saw his shadow but do post your events.
Let's use it for what it's ment to be, an event calendar.

Crusher,
thats not true I tried to add an event as a test and I got the error message stating I didn't have the proper permissions.
I suspect that because your the Ice racing director and a moderator of that forum that you have special access to the site that others don't.
Anyone can try to add an event and they should gett he same error message as me unless they are a moderator or admin or a user with the privilages configured correctly
I'm not a moderator, but I was able to post an entry on Dec 3rd.
Now, what's missing is the ability to edit that post and possibly delete it.. Just like the accidental entry I made in November 2nd.
Hummm...

Odd... Because when I click on "ADD new event"
I get the following error message:
gatherer, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
ohhh well I don't really want to add anything anyways

Club Executives do have access to add events. It's not just for anyone to post but anyone can view it.

Actually, I'm not sure who has access to post and edit at this time.
I thought anyone could add an event and edit their own events but apparently from the above that's not correct.
Stand by while I make some adjustments ...
OK, try it now.

Well, it did show birthdays, but we turned that off to start using it as an event calendar ...
And now there is a separate calendar that shows nothing but birthdays. You can access it by going to the calendar page and selecting the Birthdays calendar with the control in the bottom right corner of the page.

Marsh, you are in the same permission group as gatherer and CobraStang both of whom posted events on the calendar after I made the changes.
Doesn't have anything to do with being a club executive.
Try again - whatever the problem may be, it's not permissions. Make sure you aren't trying to add to the Birthday calendar.
