I'm signed up as a volunteer to do this, it should be a lot of fun.
I just got an email from one of the organizers - they have 143 workers signed up -- but are still in need of a few more! - radio, crowd control, service area, traffic control and timing marshals are needed. (no experience necessary for most positions). Apparently they pride themselves on treating the workers very well and there is a big party on Saturday night that is not to be missed. There's a worker Grand Prize of a brand new kayak from ClearWater Design, and subsidized worker accommodation provided, if needed.

If you're available that weekend and want to maybe try something different - sign up now! Register via the 'Workers' link on their website.

note: Once you are confirmed registered, if you need accommodation, you'll need to send Trish Groom (accommodation@tallpinesrally.com) an email saying so.

Just giving this thread a bump!
At last count, the workers are up to about 175. They need 200 to run the event properly.

If you've never been to a rally before, volunteer marshalling is a great way to see all the action. You get to see the cars more close-up than any other spectators. And you get to see what happen's behind the scenes at a national performance rally event. It's always guaranteed to be lots of fun.

If you have been to rallies before. This is the best way to give something back to the sport you know and love.

Most importantly, you get to see what an experienced Solo 2 racer can do in a rally event. :D I've run 2 regional rallies this year (we would have kicked butt if it weren't for the car breaking down both times). This is our first national event, so we want it to turn out great. That's why we want to see sufficient volunteers, to make this event successful.

The Rally of the Tall Pines, one of North America's fastest growing and largest rally events is looking again this year to put together an amazing team of workers to help with the renowned success of the event and we're looking for your help!

If you register for this year's rally as a worker, you will be automatically entered in a draw to win a Clearwater Designs Kayak! The kayak has been donated to recognize the dedication and support of our Tall Pines worker family and one of you could be the lucky winner.
