I hate to double post, but I want the Solo crowd to know that this school is directed to the Solo peeps as well. That includes autoslalom and lapping people too!

If there is a better way to post it...let me know....

The following outlines the basic info on our 2006 schools. I am available to answer all questions that are not explained in the text.
I will have details on the advanced race school offered at the same time and will post the details as they become available.
If you think that you may want to do an advanced course, please contact me by email and I will explain what curiculum is available . We are adapted for graduate students of our school as well as racers holding a license presently.

For those of you who are not familiar with our school, it is held at Autodrome St-Eustache, just outside of Montreal.

Here it is.....

Hi Motorsport Enthusiasts ...

It’s that time of the year again! Booking for the Trac Racing Academy has already started. As usual, we will have 2 sessions in the spring of 2006, on consecutive weekends. Although we have 110 total spots, our schools are completely booked by Christmas.

The date: The theory portion is given either Monday or Friday prior to the course, from 6pm to 9pm.
The driven portion is available on either 8-9 or 15-16 of April 2006, from 8:30 to 4:30

What you will learn: All the tools necessary to get a regional racing licence (ASN-FAQ-CASC-OR approved).( drivers take our school to get their licence, but 90% of our students take the school because they want to learn the basics and get practical experience to take their driving to a higher level, both in safety and in control.)

The price is 550$ plus applicable taxes. If you do not need road race accreditation you qualify for a $100 discount.

*********************
EARLY REGISTRATION DEAL. If you prepay your school before December 21st, you qualify for a $50 discount too!!!
Graduate students of our school can also receive an additional $25 discount for re-enrolment.
First timers who are signed up with a graduate student also qualify for the $25 discount.

BOTTOM line…if you sign up before December 21st…the school can cost as little as $375!!!!!!!!

You will need a car to take the school. (This will allow you to learn with the same car you drive everyday thus easier application of the curriculum)
Don't worry about damage to your car, our record is flawless: over 1200 graduates in 9 years, (most of the front runners in Touring, GTU, GTO, 1600, Solo1 and 2 were students of ours……and now, some are instructors!) never have we had any serious damage to any students car. (Other than brake and tire wear)

The basics we will cover:
-driving position including the hands
-heel and toe, downshifting (the right way) rev match
-the effect of weight transfer
-threshold braking and its affect on weight transfer
-how to use your engine to its full potential
-the ideal racing lines
-car control at the limit
-full passing (under brakes, acceleration, drafting, etc..)
-Physics involved in a (race) car
-mental aspect (the game)
-how to read your car
-race start simulations
-flags
-security

Our manual is by far the most complete and professional in North America.
Our instructors form the best team ever assembled! (4-5 students per teacher assure you the right ratio for the best result)

Please call 450-472-0676 ext 303 or email to carl@tracracing.com for registration or more information.

Is this the one that's in Quebec?

Yes it is. It is held at Autodrome St-Eustache.
the track is small and technical. A good place to learn without putting the car or lives of the students(and instructors) in danger!!

I did this school last year, and plan to do it again this spring. It was a fantastic experience, which I obviously feel is worth doing again.

I should be there, hopefully at the time I'll have my car for the next Solo 1 season. I'd hate to do the school in one car then the solo 1 season in another one. Although either way it should be well worth it.

I'll be taking the TRAC racing school for the second time in April.
This time I'll be using a 170+ HP car instead of 73HP car :D

I did the school last year and am also attending this April's course. Well worth the trip to Quebec and a very well-run school. I'd recomend it to anyone considering a driving school.

*BUMP*

Hey folks, I'm hearing through the grapevine that there are VERY few spots left for the April 15/16 weekend.
If you're still thinking about joining the gang going that weekend - it might even be referred to as a HADA invasion ;) - get moving before it's too late.

Bumping up because this weekend was THE best weekend of 2005 for me. I cannot wait to go back to this school again!

Thank you to all of you who have enrolled. I am looking forward to meeting you this spring.

The April 15/16th date is completely sold out but there remains a few spots for the April 8/9th school.

See ya then.
