I liked watching Dave balance utensils on his face :D
Slide show was great too...I didn't realize how dominant Subaru was in Solo II
Thanks to all who helped put the Banquet together :)
yeah whats with solo 2 and the subaru's... like every car was a wrx.. ect?
like 80% of the cars were all subaru's
is it cause of the AWD? those things are land pigs otherwise

On the Banquet
kudos to the organizing committee, it takes a lot of work to put on an event like this.
suggestions
the slideshow has to be positioned so everyone can see, if you were not directly in line of sight all the cars looked like smart cars
Its great to recognize everyone, but maybe we need to do some group presentations in classes to speed things up
awesome door prizes
food - for the price I expect more then soggy frozen vegtables, the steak was decent but cool ( as in not hot enough)
As for the Subarus,,,, SPDA has worked very hard in recruiting and helping subaru owners to prepare and learn how to drive thier cars, landsleds? hardly.
I suspect we'll see a few more subarus out at solo 1 events this year.

I wouldn't say the rules favour them, they just tend to be the majority of the cars that come out in a couple of classess... like in DS where my Mazdaspeed competes, SRT-4's, Spec V's, Type R's are all in that class, but for the most part WRX's show up... same thing in AS and ESS... while there are other cars in those classes not many non-subarus show up. I wouldn't say solo 2 is Subaru dominated, just as many honda's and even a decent turn out of Mazda's...

SPDA has a lot to do with that.
However, compared to Solo1 classification rules, Solo2 rules might favour some Subies - although the new tire rule will give AWD an advantage in Solo1. Also, no dyno plot requirement in Solo2.
When it rains, AWD will be pretty much impossible to beat.

Great banquet. Thanks for organizing Sonia, Christian, Christina, Gerrry and anybody else that helped.
We somehow only had a marginal number of Solo 2 class winners represented for some reason.
