View Full Version : Regional Series scoring rules
Hi Guys
I noticed the new rules don't count local entries times unless they pay $5 to be included. When and why was this changed from including everyones scores in the event? This drastically changes the scoring and makes things such as FTD time disappear and classes get propositioned even though they really weren't.
It just doesn't seem to make sense to me of the purpose of this.

Scoring for thje 2002 Mobil 1 Solo II Championship will include every competitor at a regional event that has filled out the event regional form completely and has had their vehicle placed in the correct class.
We need the regional form filled out in it's entirety to correctly class the cars. some clubs have presented their own form to particpants at registration. This presents quite a problem as many of the club's hold non-championship events using quite different classes (usually simplified or limited).
Although every competitor's times and score will appear in the daily event results, to appear in the overall, class or overall novice results the competitor must register for the series in full (25.00) or pay an event fee of 5.00. The payment of the 5.00 fee will also allow the competitor to qualify for the year end solo Shootout.
Club's should remember that the standard levy applied on regional competiors will apply on any competitor appearing in the official event results.

Thanks for clearing that up Robb, I wasn't really concerned about the people not appearing in the results, just the scoring part.
