Now that we've seen bitter cold at Mosport and torrential downpours at Shannonville, the rest of the season should be a cake walk.
Even though the weather has been crap for the last couple event weekends, I still have to say it beats doing just about anything else on the weekend.
i think i have had just about enough of rain..that was a bit much..

After having so much fun in the thunderstorm on Fabi on Sat, I was ready for round 2 (Solo1, event #4) at Nelson. But I could not go because of some serious cold and fever that probably have come from Sat's marshalling. :(
It was my first time marshalling and the experience wasn't exactly nice. With nothing but a 1-thin-layer jacket over a T shirt, it prooved to be far from sufficient for 3 hrs of cold and wet in the swampy marshalling station. Pants sucked up water like a m-f'kr; and shoes and socks..well, I couldn't really feel them anymore by the end of the day.
Besides that, it was a good Saturday for me, especially for my 1st event.
Frank, sorry to hear you caught a cold! That weather was just insane. Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself despite it and we really look forward to seeing you at the next Solo 1 weekend, where I'm sure we'll get sunshine and warmth for a change!!!

I spent all Sat. prepping my car. Loaded the car Sat. night, including my rain suit and gortex lined boots. Woke up at 4:30 AM, checked the weather outside, no rain and said screw it. It is not worth the B.S. and went back to bed. I guess the disappointment from the new car classifications doesn't just go away. I had been eagerly anticipating this season but it seems the "joy" is gone now.

Hey Brent,
I know how you feel - I just wasn't looking forward to the season, but once I hit the track, the thrill came back. If your not registered already, maybe you should consider attending the full lapping day at Mosport DDT on Saturday June 29.
I'm sure after hitting the track for a full day, you'll be looking forward to the next Solo weekend. All that's needed is that hit of adrenalin you've forgotten about. Besides, we miss ya!
