GS?

As long as it doesn't have a Six Star badge, it will probably rank quite low. ;)

Au contraire! It looks like they should be here by mid-February. My buddy CanadianRedline was #12 (I think) on Gentry Lane's list, so it looks like he should have his car before March. ;)

"Lotus Power" is just the English version of the Germans' "Flower Power."

From what I have heard the first cars were to be here this week. I haven't seen any confirmation on elisetalk since my friend sent me a link. He has had a deposit on one of these for two years so he's anxious. I hope he doesn't have to wait too long.

Me wants to take it for a spin. I'm pretty sure he's going to autocross it since I got him into it last season.

Your gonna have fun getting in and out of it, I sat in one in Japan and unless you do it like Alan Decatena (spl) by steping on the seat your gonna end up loosing a log in your pants(it isn't that bad but it is hard for people of
my shape)

Oh and that was with out a roof

Actually I've heard a few people say that it was the hardest car to get in or out of that they've ever encountered.

Yes once I got in I didn't really think about much anything else, unfortunitly it was in a show room and I didn't get one of those international licences but next time we go back I am getting that licence. oh then there was trying to get out, deffinitly want a garage with an automatic door so noone can watch you try and get out.

My friend who is buying one has driven an Elise and described it in the same manner. A friend of ours who is larger than me managed to get in and out of it. He said he was comfortable one he got past the contorting.

It's kind of a shame they slapped $10,000 on the price over what it costs in the US. :(

I was at Gentry Lane today and they have the first 3 Elises. I think 11 more will be arriving in February. These cars look real sexy in person.

They do don't they, with all the pain of removing the roof and then putting a cover on and off of the seat to get in and out I would take one(thats probably the easiest way for me to get in.

step 1. open door

2. unlatch roof and move to center of car

3. put down seat cover and place both feet on it

4. just before your bum hits the seat remove the cover(also also a
good time to grab the roof)
5. you are now ready for lift off enjoy

To get out just follow the steps in reverse.

:p

Are they importing the Lotus Exige as well?

I forgot to add, the person who is number 1 on the list was there. She's in her 70's, five feet tall and is a complete car nut. She's the owner of the British Racing green Elise in the showroom.

I wish my mom was that cool.

There is 1 in Ottawa ... I met the owner at my body shop. Cool guy ... he's already talking about a turbo kit for it (350hp). He also has a Ferrari 348. Life is hard

What is the "stage II"?

MitS
02-19-2006, 09:59 PM
It's an exhaust upgrade. It doesn't add any hp but it sounds good and it is significantly lighter than the OEM.
