I thought that might get your attention Shaman.

You might have already seen this but if not check this out

http://www.montygwilliams.com/

All on 93 octane pump gas. Wow!

The web site is pretty cool. I like how the guy detailed all the components, the cost, etc. Interesting read.

Cool! I haven't seen that one yet. He's not the only one out there with that kind of power, but it rocks nonetheless. He's certainly the most forthright with the information!

or consider this...if nicks car can make 600rwhp out of a 2.0l..then that 7.2litre motor should be able to make 2160rwhp....in v8 drag racing what are some v8 drag cars laying to the ground?

i know the top fuel guys are 6000hp+...but what about street based v8 machines?

Nick's car uses racing fuel. But to answer your question, Pro Stock does get around 2,000hp without forced induction and Nick's car really isn't any more reliable than one of those cars anymore, as I'm sure he and his engine builder can attest to. HP/L is momentarily impressive, but results are what count. Pro stock cars weigh about 2,400 pounds and turn in mid six second times.

you can buy 116 in many places in southern ontario...and whats nice with a turbo system is that if you can't find the fuel..just lower the boost with a little button in the car..voila..unlike a 15:1 compression beast

i agree results are what counts..so what does it matter if forced induction is used or not? or nitrous? these things seem to be sins or something?

we also can't attest to the reliability of that 1000hp 427 either..as you can see it has hardly been run..the stainless pipes are not even burned in yet..so it might just be a bomb ready to explode? though the build up of that car looks very ..very...very nice..that is a car that would be awesome to have...

How much power do you figure my friend Joe is making with his new Mustang? The only performance # I have is a 1.06sec 60ft time. YIKES!

http://www.headsupracer.com/headsup_news_J&P01.htm

His old Mustang was running 7.3x 1/4 mile times.

I also know Joe at J&P (installed and tuned a motor for me).
If I recall correctly, he estimates that he's making approx. 2300hp.

He feeds the car with 35 LBS of boost via single turbo.

They're banking on high 6-second times when it gets dialed in.
Unfortunately I know very little else about it.

that is one heck of a large frame turbo he is using...looks like something a diesel train would use.....it could suck in birds :)

see how the air charge goes into a water to air ice box...really neat stuff

While that turbo setup is nice, Matt Ramsay has a beer bong with a water to air icebox that makes that thing look like a FrigidAire icemaker.

Go Capitan Highballer go!
