I ran Hoosiers a couple years back, and when they were fairly new, they ROCKED! Once the stick got out of them, they were junk, and it was a VERY fast transition from incredible to junk. Big money too, but damn fast.

Perhaps a new version of the old bar joke.... "You don't BUY grip, you RENT it."

Great tire, except that you can't get it anymore. It successor is evn more touchy , but worth every cent. It helps 'stock' cars do ftds.......

although the compound is slightly different the technology and construction is the same........I ran a set of R3S04's last season in regional road racing. They have been awsome. Wear was acceptable as well. But a word to the wise.....suspension set up will greatly (like any tire but especially these) be critical. Not sure about the prices for you autocross guys but a set of Hoosiers is cheaper for us to buy than the RA-1's, by about $150. $my 0.02
