Does anyone know where I could buy an 8mm 12 point 3/8 drive socket? I've tried Princess Auto and Canadian Tire and neither have it.
Of all the bolts on my car the oil pump is the only one held on with these blasted 12 point bolts! argh!

Sears Craftsman should have one...though you might have to order it.
Snap-on has one as well...

The bi-hex bit? I bought a set of these from Crappy Tire w/ 8, 10, 12 and 14mm for around $20. It was in that 'self help' aisle where they have all the specialty tools like pulley removers, ball joint pullers etc...
I asked the service counter at crappy tire and they had no idea what I was talking about. They kept leading me to the Torx bits and I just happened to notice the bi-hex next to them.

Hrm, hopefully sears has it in stock. I'd hate to have to wait to special order a socket just to remove a damn oil pump.

Several years ago, I bought a single-seater with an Audi transaxle whose CV bolts had those heads. Bought the kit at and used it that one time, and have only thought of it a couple times since.
Cusco Tools on Dixie just north of 401 on the east side should have them in stock.

Thanks Guys. Went to Sears at lunch since it is around the corner and they had a bunch of 12 point sockets. Picked up my one 8mm for $2.99. :)
Cheers,
Paul
