Hey soloZ,
Would you be interested in coming out to the Aug. 10/11 weekend at Shannonville? If so, then come on Friday Aug. 9 in the afternoon to get a bunch of practice laps in before the weekend begins. See the link below:

Ryan, see the following thread for you answer...

looks like you'll have to join a CASC-affiliated club (if you're not a member of one already...see the CASC-OR website at www.casc.on.ca for a list of affiliated clubs) and pay the $50 race liscense fee as well. I thought what you paid for your temp liscense was going to be deducted off this $50 though, so you may want to ask Perry or Rob McAuley for clarification on this.
Hope to see you at Shannonville and thanks for hangin' out with us at the drag strip the other night :) It was nice getting to chat with you.

just for clarification purposes, the temp license fee is $10 for the weekend you compete. If you decide that you want to continue then the basic License fee of $50 still applies.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
In the interest of building the levels of competitors and to attract new people to Solo I competition in Ontario, CASC-OR SOLO I will now institute a Temporary Licensing System for competitors who want to try Solo I. The Temporary Solo/Basic License will cost the NEW competitor $10 and is valid for 1 weekend of competition, ie; Events 3&4. The license will be granted to any person who completes a CASC-OR License Application and fulfills all the necessary requirements under the Solo I Regulations and the "Temporary Licensed" competitor must complete all of the registration forms currently used in Solo I. CASC-OR SOLO I will recognize any "Temporary" Club membership for the same period as the Temporary License is issued. Fees for "Temporary" Club Memberships shall be determined or waived by each club. Clubs issuing a Temporary Membership for a Solo I weekend will not be required to send in any affiliation fees for that competitor at that time.
If a competitors wishes to continue to compete after the "Temporary" trial period, he/she shall be required to re-apply for a full Basic/Solo License at the regular $50 fee.
Official CASC-OR Solo I Temp Policy:
1 weekend/2 Event, Temporary Basic Solo License: $10, paid by the competitor.
1 weekend/2 Event, Temporary Club Membership: Free or a small fee paid by the competitor.
A reduced at the door Entry Fee to $110 per event for New Tryout competitors only (One time deal).
Temporary License and Temporary Club Membership valid ONLY for the weekend it is purchased.
Only 1 Temp License & Membership per person.
New driver will compete with a "Driving Coach" and display the Novice Triangle until signed off by a Series official.
New drivers will NOT be allowed to carry passengers until they are signed off by a Series Official.
If person wants to continue to compete after the first event or two;
Then he/she will then join an affiliated club (at full membership rate)
Clubs will then send in affiliation fee for that new member.
He/she will re-apply for a full Solo Basic license which will then cost the regular $50.00.
This offer not valid to any previous license holder.

Ok so what is the total price of one days of racing with the CASC licence?
Director

One or 2 days, doesn't matter, the fee is $10. The clubs are waiving any membership fee for the "temp period".

Ok what is the cost. I am a member of TAC and I allready did the one weekend thing but I only did one day of an event.
Ryan, sounds like you've gotta buy the $50 race license plus pay the usual registration fee ($110 per event) since the $10 offer is only good for a single weekend and you've cashed in on yours already. So a single event is going to cost you $160, but if you buy the race license it's good for the rest of the season so hopefully you'd put it to use at more than 1 event :)

... or is that one WEEKDEND or two EVENTS? He only ran the one day (Sat) at Shannonville. Does that qualify him to use the second half of the temp licence (if that is in fact what the above means)?
the temp license is only good for ONE weekend. It can't be split over two weekends :(
