Mazda RX8

I am really excite by this concept. It looks great, has a neat door system, and has one of the best N/A engines ever created IMO. But the only problem is that uncertainty of power. I heard 280, and it has 250. What will it be?

I hear 250hp. I will wait to see one in the skin, but I think that the RX8 could be a great car. For competition though, I will stick to the FD RX7. In fact, I'm kind of moving towards getting one.

I think you should Shaman. But the only complaint is the reliability. My dad had the original 84 Savannah in red. God I loved that car. But in the Winter of 89 it died. Reliability really hurt those cars rep, and I think the new Renesis engine will improve that. I have about 20K right now for a new car, and should have 30K by the time the RX8 comes out. I want either the RX8 or Zcar. Any ideas?

You know the C111 Mercedes? I read the Jan 2001 R&T and it has an article about it. The car has 350bhp from a 2.4 liter 4 rotor N/A Wankel engine. That car has a whopping 145bhp/l......I wish they had made that car, that would let S2000 lose it's shine today. ;)

Hmm. I don't know. The RX8 is a neat car. Reliability is poor, yes, but you can seriously improve things by keeping everything cool. The heat is the #1 problem with the turbo RX7s, but I doubt it will be a problem with the RX8.

Yeah, I heard the turbo's were the real trouble makers.

I have a desktop diecast model of the C111 on my computer desk:). Sweet car, made to pioneer Mercedes' wankel engine.

I've heard about this car which I'm not positive I've seen pictures of it?? Was it in the autoweek a while back or do you have any links to it?

I thought he was talking about the RX8. The NFS car looks exactly like the C111. Either way you should be able to tell what both cars look like now:).
