Here is the TLMC Slalom Schedule for 2006. You may notice that we have two events that are for members only. This is in addition to the September 10 Members Only Shootout where TLMC purchases a car and the winner at the end of the day gets to take it home. TLMC Memberships are $25 and will allow you access to these 3 events (plus our end of year banquet.) Membership also reduces the entry fee for our 5 open events to $20 so you can save your $25 membership fee if you attend them all.

Open to all drivers

May 28th

June 18th

July 9th

July 30th

It's looking like we may be substituting one of these events for a regional... more news to come once we contact the CASC.

That would be great! Unfortunately, there are many conflicts so I may only be able to make 1-2 events of your series.

August 20 only conflicts with Solo1 am I right? Are we trying to keep no conflicts between these 2 disciplines too? And it's the Calabogie one... that track just got cancelled for the race schedule and I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened for Solo1.

You are correct, Solo 1 and Solo 2 are planning on running with no conflicts this year.

As for the Calabogie situation, I can't really comment.

That must be why Solo 1 got such a Lousy schedule this year.

It is unforetunate that TLMC members that want to run regional solo II only get to participate in 3 out of 8 TLMC events. Even the shootout is on a regional event day. I thought more and more TLMC members were doing regionals?

Now that TLMC is hosting an event make that 2 out of 7. :(

It does suck but our schedule is set back in October and confirmed in November. We have to give the Molson Centre plenty of notice. For me it means only doing 2 or 3 regionals total this year.

If I show up on the morning of the May 7th event with a car that is tech-worthy and with an appropriate helmet, is there anything I need to do beforehand to race that day? (ie, solo 2 regional license, etc.) What is the minimum Snell rating this year for helmets?

StewPiddass

Nope, just bring a car, a helmet and $25... actually I'd suggest bringing $45 so you can join the club for $25 and save $5 on every other event and have access to the members-only ones (plus the regional if you don't series register)

I won't be there (racecar testing) but we have plenty of helpful members to help you out.
