The BMW Club of Canada (BMWCC) - Trillium chapter runs a few high-performance advanced driving schools each year. These are aimed at licenced street drivers to improve car control, practice emergency maneuvres, develop knowledge of vehicle dynamics, friction circles, etc. Participants attend classroom sessions, do exercises on skid pads, and take to the track with in-car instructors.

Drivers use their own vehicles. These schools are open to all levels of driver with most types of vehicles permitted.

Our HPD schools are a great avenue for people who want to gain confidence, be safer, who just want some track time, or who don't know much about motorsport but want some exposure!

The 2006 schools are:

Apr 21 Fri - Apr 23 Sun at Mosport (we use the road course)
Jun 9 Fri - Jun 11 Sun at Mosport
Jul 7 Fri - Jul 9 Sun at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant
Sep 8 Fri - Sep 10 Sun at Mosport (school & racing)

During this last event, the Trillium chapter hosts BMW CCA club racing.

For more information, please visit http://trillium-bmwclub.ca/ or feel free to contact me...

See you at the track.

Are students allowed to use traillered/unplated cars at these schools? I know in the past this hasn't been allowed, but heard there was talk that this might be changing this year.

Thanks.

At this time, there are only unplated /uninsured cars allowed in the Instructor group. There are none allowed in the student groups.

Could you provide me with a contact regarding volunteering as an instructor at the St. Jovite event? I am an instructor for two clubs currently and would be willing to help out. I have experience at Tremblant also, although I do not drive a Bimmer.
