View Full Version : Day 2 - Project Mock Adam
what, you think you can pry the hardware away from me with those skinny forearms??!!?? Dream on, Nissan boy...
http://www.hadamotorsport.com/members/rides/davidp/DSCF0038.jpg
so ...the gauntlet has been dropped...
the greater the mocking now....the more sweet victory will taste when the evil honda hoard is beaten down...with the almighty NISSAN power...
enjoy your fleeting victory while you can...for it will be short lived..
Debb says unless you buy a set of these
http://www.hadamotorsport.com/members/rides/debbiec/deb.gif
the bitter taste of defeat will last longer than you might hope :p
well 1st i have to convince my wife that "WE" really need them :)
and secondly....my beating you really depends on what parts get here first....
1=the tiens..so that i can beat you down with handling
2=the 72lb injectors so i can beat you down in a straight line further than the current beating i am giving you...gonna "row" my way to victory :)
i think either one of these is enough for 0.7 sec margin....plus as the season goes on..it gets cooler and cooler :)
now if all things remain equal...it will be close racing....especially if that voodoo doctor that i hired..ohh sorry did that come out..i will be silent now...
:)
the deed is done the TEIN RA system is on order...its only a matter of time now...
HONDA WEASELS.....run and scurry away in fear
look at me, quivering in fear on the hood of my Honda with my big 'kicked Adam's ass' trophy
http://www.hadamotorsport.com/members/rides/davidp/DSCF0037.jpg
you can keep your little glass trinket..i am only out for the 100 points...
you are the last honda in the path of nissan power..and like all before you shall fall
:)
plus as a double wammy... the computer weasels in california said my 72lb injectors and ecu are shipping this friday to me ...ha ha..another 50 or so rwhp can't hurt as well ...
50 more rwhp = 50% increase in the chance you'll blow that truck engine up!

Dave, I'm looking forward to Adam blowing the doors off your Civic when the shocks injectors and ECU are installed.
Jeff
ahhh look who's talking mr 9000rpm..that motor sounds like its gonna blow up..it was screaming in pain when we went out lapping....i am shifting mine at 5800-6000 rpm...
as long as i don't get any detonation..i can boost that IRON truck block pretty high..cause of the low revs i am using..another few PSI boost won't hurt it (i hope and think)
:)
ok head HADA weasel..the lines are drawn into the sand..and the smack talk has begun..all that is left now is to go back to the track..and duke it out

Talk about smack! :)
hehe, if he does beat me this year I'll still be $5k richer than him :P Sheesh, race suspension, big injectors, more boost, all to beat a little 1.6L naturally aspirated grocery getter? How very very sad...
:p :p :p
he he..just remember i have to uphold some straight line speed as well to show nissan power..the car has to be able to do many things well..not just turn corners :)
...if you wanted to settle things in a strict drag race at cayuga next event i am up for that :) thought i think i would have you by at least 1 sec
just remember you are battling a single overhead cam truck motor designed in the 70's...just to add some gravy to the defeat you will soon see

A man with a car that goes both ways challenging another man to a strict drag race.
You big city folk are so alternative.
dood, there's no question you'll own me at the drags. Hanif, Jay and I went up to Cayuga a few weeks ago and I ran a very feeble 15.03 at something like 95mph. Hanif ran in the mid 15's and Jay ran in the high 15's...maybe 15.7 if I remember correctly.
Anyway, everyone at the track was complaining about slow slips, I guess because of the new pavement and the very high humidity.
I think under better conditions and with a competent driver my car would run low 14's at best with the little 1.6L mill. My old 1.8L set-up should have been good for 13's. Your beast should be in the 13's for sure, no? Anyway, I'd be happy to have you kick my ass on Saturday night if you'd like :) Should be fun! God knows you owe me one :p
Oh, and I spoke to Alan and your Tein's are officially on order now. Shouldn't be more than 7-10 days if they're stateside already. If there's none in stock in Cali, it's going to have to come special order from Japan and will take about 4 weeks :( Lets hope they're in Cali!!! That way you'll have no excuses when I had your Nissan another slice of humble pie at Cayuga...
Let the smack talk continue! I haven't had this much fun in years....
Dave
bring on the TEINS :)
i would guess in the 13's some where..not really sure....
careful how you spell Teins...Fram may get excited! He likes 'em young you know...
yeah where is the hindgrinder?
i am suprized he is not speaking up...where are the rest of the honda weasels.....get your smack talk in now while you can..
I think they all have day jobs ;)
he he..i keep this link open on my task bar..so i can make sure you honda weasels propoganda does not get out of hand...
Adam….. Don’t you worry, I have one eye on you at all times. As for trash talking, it’s not really my style, however I am always willing to humour you.……
OK OK I got one….how about the fact that on the Pro track, (arguably the one track that most favours a high powered car)…. Ummmm your time was 78.7 seconds, and mine was 80.0 seconds…… according to my math that is only a 1.3 second lead that you have. That 1.3 seconds translates into 1.6% of an 80 second lap!
My car is a daily driven/winter driven 12 year old CSS2 car, normally aspirated, no trailer, no forced induction, no aftermarket ignition system, no $2500 rad (The car with a pretty worn rings cost $1800)…. And you beat me in TWO classes higher by 1.6% of your lap time.
Are you trying to tell me that all the dollars that you have spent has netted you 1.6% more speed than a $5000 rat box civic with bondo wheel wells? Are my numbers correct? Hehe
Might be time to sign up for a driver training course, not a new suspension!
tee hee... now are you happy? Look what you made me do!
:D
ohh i agree..there is always room for improvement in driving skills...but i have to work with what i got... ME :)
he he...remember..my car is performing at pretty much its LOWEST potential now...still getting out the bugs, and running low boost... :)
next year will be interesting....you think the custom 3 core aluminum rad is overkill...yes i agree at low boost levels...but you have to look forward...i plan on developing the car eventually into a C-mod car..maybe 2-3 years down the road..and be laying down a good hefty 400+ hp and ftlbs torque...and you can't build a car up on crappy parts to start with :)
also consider this....in 1999..when my car was in total street trim on street tires...my best time on the pro track was 87.963 seconds...so thru 2000, 2001, and 2002... i am now down to 78.7...thats a 9.263 sec improvement!!!!! thats alot of time... no?
i don't think you realize how gutless and slow a stock 240sx is :)
Adam, let me know when you're stepping up to C-Mod and I'll go with you :) Can't have you getting any class wins! Seriously though, once I go regional racing with my car it'll likely be C-Mod since I'd like to add Lexan windows, fiberglass hood and doors, yank the headlights, etc. Should be able to get the car down to 1,800 lbs fairly easily.
Good (Honda) vs. Evil (Nissan) shall live on forever!!!
hi dave...
hmmm...they do make several fibreglass parts for my car as well :)
hey..when are we going to work on that head? i have an itch to port some aluminum?
plus once i install my monster race head i am working on that will put me in C-mod..thats at least 1 winter away..

I might be selling off my spare head, but I'm sure we can find a Honda weasel with one that needs porting. I'd love to learn how, for sure for sure. And don't forget the winter camping! Debb is all pumped up about that :)
i can see now this was a planned attack on me :)

Now that I looked at that picture the second time, the look on your face is terrifying, Dave. I must now run away from the monitor...
yeah, that picture is classic! I'm not sure what that look on my face is all about, but I do recall the cool glass of the trophy feeling awfully nice against my hairy potbelly :P
so it does not look like my suspension will be in for this weekend...even so you had better be on guard honda weasels...i will be ready
oh, did you give Alan a call over the weekend or something? I was really hoping we'd see your Teins before Friday.
Did you get your fuel upgrades at least?
nope..i did not call allen yet...but i only have 4 days to get the parts and install them..so its not looking good...i will call him to confirm tomorrow...
nope..still no fuel upgrades.....those california weasels are delaying me now..
only thing in my bag of tricks..is a new wheel bearing..which will help since i can concentrate on driving instead of listening to it grind and worry about the wheel falling off :)
hi dave..called allan, he said they were special order and will take 4-5wks..so they will only be good for next year then...ohh well at least i will have time to set them up then over the winter..
special order? Aaaah bummer :( That means they've got to come all the way from Japan. Domo arigato mr. roboto! Styx own you!
Well, without a race suspension this year you'd better up that boost big boy!
Dave
guess its time to say HI to MR.116 and start to lean it out a bit and boost it up...
damn hondas..damn evil hondas
all i need from you is to lose 1 race..just 1
i will have my voodoo doctor working overtime this weekend on you....
:)
yeah it has to come straight from the depths of japan...and as soon as i hear that...his 4-5wks..turns into 10-14wks....so it looks like a winter install :)
yeah, Japan delivery times are very unpredictable...hopefully they'll show up sooner rather than later. Maybe you'll get to give them a try at a fall lapping day or something...
Hehe, I'm going to the dyno tomorrow night with a bunch of the HADA weasels. If you want to drop by, we'll be at TAG Motorsport in Oakville (on Royal Windsor...if you want more info I'll e-mail you directions). I'll be on the dyno at 6:30-7:30pm.
