I am planning to upgrade my 10.3 inch rotors to 11.2 ITR spec rotors. I will be using SRV rotors that will be redrilled to 4 X 100 bolt pattern and using prelude calipers. But since i am from Ottawa, i am having a hard time finding a machine shop that is willing to redrill and shave the caliper brakets for me. Over the past weekend, i saw a couple HADA guys at shannonville with EGs that has this mod done. I was wodering which machine shop in TO did the work for you guys? Also, how much did the machine work costs? Do you have the machine shops contact info? Thanks.

Hi,
I am running the 11" rotors and ITR/lude brakes up front. The machining was done by a friend of mine in his spare time for a reasonable price :)
There definitely are shops out there that will do it, but because you are only going to be doing a pair of brackets and max 6-8 rotors at one time, the price will be higher.
There have been guys that have done the caliper shaving themselves using various methods, but the alignement of the mount to the knuckles is important to centre the rotor w.r.t. the caliper bracket and also the make sure that you get even wear on the inside and outside pads.
I would consider redrilling my own rotors because the bolt pattern can be copied from another rotor and the holes are only used for clearance purposes. The location of the rotor is determined by the centre hole which is already machined to the correct diameter.

The other option is to order a very similar (it may be the exact same) upgrade from www.fastbrakes.com ...
