The HADA Weasels strike again ....

Having spend some time with Adam aka " the Distroyer all but TWO Honda's" ..... we have learned of some of his weakness's .... so a plot was hatched ....

We knew that he could not resist the opportunity to heckle a bunch on HADA boy's so we "leaked" a story that a group of us were going to the Dyno.

Predicatably he turned up in all his glory, 747 wing and all. He was so overcome by the cornucopia of 12+ Honda/Acura targets, he completely lost his mind and locked his keys in the car. Of course being a superior Nissan driver he saw no need to have a CAA membership ... But we took pity on the smuck and called CAA on his behalf ... there was some mutter about a HADA plot ... but that was soon squashed by a threat of cancelling the CAA call

Stage two of the plot ... Since dyno plots can be hacked and only runs on the same dyno, on the same day can really be compared, we knew that his prior posted plots were not really indicative of the power of his truck motor. we also knew that he could not resist the lure of the dyno and Begged, yes Begged for a chance to show us Weasels where the real power is .. after much grumbling we allowed the Batmobile to be strapped down ... Two runs later and much smoke from his tailpipe the deed was done ....

240ish HP and 260ish ft/lbs of torque at 11.9 lbs of boost ... why do we bring this up ... well our illustrious leader only dynoed at 175ish HP and 110 ft/lbs of torque ....... OHH THE SHAME OF IT ..... 50% more HP and 150% more HP ... so where is all this HP going on the track ?

Adam .... It was fun having you out .. see you at Cayuga : )

Cheers

weaselage running rampant in the streets is what i say... supreme HADA weaselage

here is the REAL story....being a kind soul, a HADA member asked me to move my car out of the way..so i did...upon moving the car i shut my car down and left it...now the REAL question is...did I lock the doors..or perhaps there was a "door locking conspiracy"... that is the real question..this could have been a set up..

anyway..thanks for letting me come out and show you some "slight power" (truth be known that my motor in its crappy tuned state put out more peak torque than the 2 top hondas put together last night :) )

that dyno was neat to get a comparison..since they had the auto smoothing function turned off at this dyno it shows every small imperfection in the tuning of the motor..suffice to say the honda motors that were there were in a VERY high state of tune, and they were even taking off power steering belts groping for more power...if you looked at thier charts the variance from tuning i would say is MAX 2-4rwhp......

whereas with my beast..i have a variance of about 63rwhp due to bad tuning and being overrich..it really hit home looking at this new dyno chart...my charts look like the rocky mountains :)

ran with 12.4psi boost (med level boost) posted a whopping 261ftlbs torque at 3500rpm...and then a measly peak 225rwhp at 6000rpm.....what? yep...my top end power looked like a down hill ski run most likely due to the vast amounts of unburnt fuel at high rpm....so i figure properly tuned (very soon to happen with new ecu and injectors) 240ftlbs at 6300rpm..so thats 240x6300/5252=287rwhp..thats what it should be...so i am leaving 63rwhp at the door...

in any case..these damn light little honda cars..are beating me despite a large difference in power..

honda weasels you are winning now....but there is always tomorrow...

Adam's car is going to make huge power if he ever gets it tuned properly. The Jim Wolff chip will help, but I really think you'll be robbing yourself of quite a bit of power if you don't get Paul or some other ECU tuner to make you a true custom chip, optimized for your exact motor and set-up. Every motor is different, even if you put the exact same mods on another KA engine you'll need different fuel and ignition maps...trust me I know this from experience with two different B18C engines with the exact same mods bolted up. Spend the couple hundred $ to have Paul make you a custom chip, you won't regret it with all that untapped power just waiting to be unleashed.

If I still beat you after you've got some pro tuning and Tein RA's, I'm either the greatest driver in Honda weasel history our you've got an undescended testicle, like my parent's toy poodle :P

Lots of fun having you and Graham at the dyno last night! It's good to have some non-HADA weasels come out to keep us honest :)

he he...thats whats nice about a MAFS system...vs your honda MAP system.....it knows the volume of air coming into the engine on the fly and dols out fuel according to that amount of air..regardless of temperature and altitude..or other factors...or for that matter any other modifications made...

the MAFS sensor is a ford cobra 3inch sensor..calibrated up to 25psi boost..around 600cfm or thereabouts...so it will only need further tuning if the voltage on the new MAFS is maxed out...and the injectors are MSD 756cc units..and the ECU is by jim wolf technology (JWT)..one of the leading nissan tuners...kinda like a spoon for hondas

the only thing with the MAFS system and ecu we can really play with is the INTITAL air fuel ratio that is picked, and the timing that is burned into the ecu....but they have made hundreds of systems like this for the twin cam engine..which will be very close to my sohc motor

we will see how it goes..i am sure that it will make a very very drastic improvment in top end power..and allow infinate scaleability in boost on the fly...

he he he eh ehhehhhehehehehh

its ok....next year i will be back faster and better :)

you may win the battle evil honda weasels...but the war has just begun
